Excluding the impact of foreign currency exchange (FX), revenue increased 21% compared to the prior year. The year-over-year increase in revenue was driven by broad-based strength across major end markets.Gross margin was 71.1% compared to 66.8% in the first quarter of 2025. Adjusted gross margin of 71.8% compared to 67.6% in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 420 basis points. The year-over-year increase was primarily driven by favorable mix and volume, slightly offset by tariffs.Operating expenses were $131 million compared to $118 million in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 11%. Adjusted operating expenses were $125 million compared to $115 million in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 9%. On a constant-currency basis, Adjusted operating expenses increased 4% year over year, driven by higher incentive compensation, partially offset by disciplined cost management.Operating income was $60 million compared to $26 million in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 131%. Operating margin was 22.3% compared to 12.1% in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 1,020 basis points. Adjusted operating margin was 25.2% compared to 14.4% in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 1,080 basis points.Adjusted EBITDA was $72 million compared to $36 million in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 100%. Adjusted EBITDA margin was 26.9% compared to 16.8% in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 1,010 basis points. The year-over-year expansion was driven by revenue growth and favorable mix.Net income of $52 million compared to $24 million in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 117%. Adjusted net income of $57 million compared to $27 million in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 111%.Net income per diluted share was $0.31 compared to $0.14 in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 121%. The transaction closed on April 1, 2026, slightly ahead of the Company's expectation of a second-quarter close.







The business generated approximately $16 million in revenue in 2025 and was sold for a purchase price of approximately $11.9 million, consistent with the previously announced target range of $10 million to $12 million, inclusive of the sale of related inventories. The largest driver of intangible asset amortization was the acquisition of Moritex Corporation.Reorganization charges:The Company has incurred charges related to the reorganization of its employees. Cognex needs to give investors some clarity on CFO.

Cognex is the leading Machine-vision learning provider and has delivered record growth, revenue, income,and earnings per share in the last 3 years. This is not enough for investors lately given the announcement that the CFO will be departing in May 2019. Having only worked at the company for 2 years this will surely be a topic for discussion on the earnings call on the 29Th April. We will wait and see how the market reacts on Tuesday before taking a small position, which may well be a short, given the bearish divergences on the chart. Support exists at $49 and resistance at $59

CGNX is up about $10/share from its low point.

Triple digits will probably trigger the next small trade. I've been trying to keep cash build-up to around 40% of total value. While it's a long way back to my first buy target, I'd be happy to have a good excuse to build out the position.

I've had shares of CGNX off and on for over 25 years. The latest period started in late 2015 and has been quite generous so far.



There was only that first downturn in which to use any of the cash I'd set aside for this stock. I added 12% to the position back then. Since, there has been no dip with which to add to the position.

If/When there's a pullback, I'll use the cash to add shares assuming the fundamentals of this great company continue to be solid.

The nice move today tripped my outstanding Sell order for about 5% of my position. Nice to have those orders sitting there when I'm not looking.

This order filled giving me a LIFO gain of over 30% since April.

It's time to get this Semi-Equipment stock thread started!

I've not had much activity with my CGNX holding for some time. It's come close to triggering a sale a couple of times since I last purchased some more shares at the beginning of August last year. Well, finally yesterday we managed to sell 5% of the position at $23.25. That represented a 47% LIFO gain on those shares. I guess it was worth the wait.
