                                 Trading Update

Cardpoint plc ("Cardpoint" or the "Group"), the provider of Cash Machines and
Electronic Mobile Telephone Top Up Terminals, is providing the following trading
update as it enters its closed period.

Mark Mills, Chief Executive Officer, stated "We have finished the half year with
strong growth both in the UK and Germany and we are focusing on the integration
of the HBOS Cash Machines acquired in June 2004. The operating performance
demonstrates the long term merit of the acquisition and the Directors remain
confident that the year end forecast of not less than 250 migrated charging
machines will be met, providing a strong platform for further growth in 2006."

"The Company is now well positioned to build on its strong base in the UK, with
further German expansion forecast and both organic and acquisitive growth as
opportunities arise.

"The significant progress made in meeting the challenges presented by the
ground-breaking HBOS acquisition, the strength of our core business, the lower
HBOS acquisition cost as previously reported and the maintainable earnings from
the higher than anticipated retention rates on the migrated HBOS machines give
us further confidence going forward. The full benefit of the HBOS acquisition
will be achieved when the integration is fully completed from October 1st 2006
onward." Mark Mills said.

It is anticipated that the interim results will be released on 25th May 2005.
