One large orbiting crash of major satellites in sensitive orbits, and interplanetary and/or lunar missions could be scrubbed for years or decades unless we figure out how to clean up earth’s surrounding space. We haven’t even cleaned up the plastic vortex (garbage patches) in our oceans.
