PITTSBURGH, July 16, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- "We wanted to create a new multifunction implement that combines a visible and/or IR laser sight (in a ring configure concentric to the barrel, which is unique) as well as flashlight and dazzle function," said one of two inventors, from Etna, N.H., "so we invented the RING LASER. Our design is not subject to the same calibration issues that conventional lasers face and can serve as a flashlight and dazzler."

The patent-pending invention provides an innovative laser sight and flashlight for firearm owners. The design can accurately show the user where the center of their barrel is pointing at various short and long distances. This would aid with rapid and accurate target acquisition both at a distance (laser) and in the dark (both flashlight and IR laser function). Its compact and rugged design combines multiple necessary functions, reducing the need for other devices to be mounted onto the firearm. It also can be used as a deterrent when used as a dazzler. It would be easy to mount by either screwing onto the barrel or onto a muzzle device. The device is ideal for owners of firearms, target shooters, hunters, law enforcement, the military, etc. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.

The original design was submitted to the Boston sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
