Even though short-term trading can be very profitable, it can also be a huge risk. Short-term lasts from anywhere from a few minutes or several days or weeks. Traders have to truly understand the risks and the rewards of each potential trade to succeed at this strategy. They must be able to identify good short-term opportunities and also protect themselves from any unforeseen events. Gaining an advantage over their competition requires that traders use technical analysis to understand what is happening in the markets.
Technical analysis is the process of evaluating stocks or markets using previous prices and patterns in order to predict the future. It’s an important tool to help traders understand how to make profits while others are unsure.
Buy and Sell Indicators are used to determine the right time to buy and/or sell. Two of the most popular ones are the stochastic oscillator and the relative strength index (RSI). The RSI compares the inside weakness or strength. Typically, a reading of 70 indicates a topping pattern, while a reading below 30 shows an oversold stock.
