On February 20, 2024, Rise Gold Corp. (the "Company") announced that the Nevada County Board of Supervisors (the "Supervisors") adopted a resolution ("Resolution"), in a public hearing on Friday, February 16, 2024 (the "Hearing"), denying the Company's application for a Use Permit to allow the re-opening of the Idaho Maryland Gold Mine and not certifying the Final Environmental Impact Report (the "FEIR").

The Supervisors cited undefined mining disasters, impacts to water wells, noise, vibrations, and other concerns as reasons for the denial. Importantly, these risks were analyzed extensively by the County's FEIR, which concluded that there would be no significant impacts from them to the County.

I have eaten at the Samoan Cookhouse several times with my wife (DaSquaw) and my (then) young son. It is a fabulous place for the lumberjack paraphernalia and photos, but the real cool aspect is the groove of the place - the feel - the atmosphere. As you sit at the table passing bows of food with strangers you get a weird feeling of what it was like back when the clientele was just lumberjacks. Sadly, I think it may have closed due to COVID and remains closed.

It was a fricken hoot tho while it lasted.

It is simple, high-calorie food - butt you can eat as much as you want.

You should buy some Emgold (IMMM), they were the last penyscam trying to use Idaho-Marylnd to sell shares of that pennyturd.

Idaho-Matylnd will never be reopened for mining. Locals will nott stand for it. It is like proposing to drill for oil in downtown Santa Monica or wanting to strip-mine coal in Central Park in NYC or open-pit copper mine on the Capitol Mill in DC.

It is only useful as a token for pennyscams like Emgold and Rise to sell shares on.

Idaho-Maryland will NEVER be reopened by ANYONE. It is nott even close. Besides hippies and people who reside in GV, this area is loaded with rich retirees who are adamantly against it and make big political contributions. You'd have better luck trying to stripmine in Aspen.

You would hve much better luck reviving Abe Lincoln and entering him in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics in the men's marathon and 100 meter dash and betting on him to win gold medals in both.

This was NEVER in doubt. RYES spent beucoup munny on ads and yard signs and, exactly as I said long ago - it was all for naught Just like IMMM Emgold before them.

The Idaho-Maryland mine will NEVER reopen. EVER. No matter how many pennyscams use it to sell shares. They may as well try to get NYC to approve a coal strip mine in Central Park.
