ORDER
Before the Court is the Joint Motion to Stay All Deadlines and Notice of Settlement (the
“Motion”). (Dkt. No. 18). In the Motion, the parties represent that all matters in controversy
between the parties have been settled in principle. (Id. at 1). The parties request the Court to stay
all deadlines in the above-captioned case for thirty days pending the submission of dismissal
papers. (Id.).
Having considered the Motion, and noting that it was jointly filed, the Court finds that it
should be and hereby is GRANTED. Accordingly, all deadlines in the above-captioned case are
STAYED for thirty days, during which time appropriate dismissal papers are to be filed with the
Court.

I agree. Finance your own portfolios without deals that screw us

I'm hoping this is the long-term plan with MR Licensing. Get a lot of cases into the courts, grind for about two years with each case, win some claims and then hit as many other companies as possible with PROVEN patents. Do this consistently for a few years and you can pay the lenders back and develop a significant revenue stream.
But really...what do I know?

Not much left in terms of time on patent. Time will tell.  

Thanks. The patents have been tested in passed Taasera suits. Hopefully this can be settled within a year.

There are five patents in the suit. All of them have been through a Markman hearing (claims construction). Maybe this will move a little faster.

Quest lost the Harbor Island Dynamic appeal. The NPX case is dead and the Samsung case went from 4 patents to 2 patents.

Volume!  Settlement/trial.  One will happen soon. Time to buy. Cheap. So undervalued based on where this company is headed. I’m in. 

So the company AllBirds, the footwear company, somehow changed into an AI company and there stock shot up. It won't last...I get it but I think Quest can learn from it. The EDI portfolio is an AI portfolio (autonomous driving), I would list in on their website as such. And out of 2500 Monterey Research patents Quest purchased, if any of those portfolio were related to AI, I would list them that way too. I'll bet it would put the company on some radars.

The dead NPX patent is 7,745,828
The Dead Samsung patents are 7,745,828 and 9,245,826.
At this time there are no challenges to the MR Licensing cases.

After several postponements, the trial for MONTEREY RESEARCH, LLC v. Renesas Electronics Corporation et al is scheduled for May 18th.

Quest is appealing this outcome.

QPRC’s Flash Uplink Launches First Litigation
On June 15, 2023, publicly traded Quest Patent Research Corporation (QPRC) assigned to its subsidiary Flash Uplink LLC eight patents that it received in the summer of 2022 from HP Enterprise (HPE). Now, the recipient has filed its first case, accusing Lenovo (2:26-cv-00072) of infringing one of those patents, described in the new complaint as related to “updating (reflashing) disk drive firmware in a more automated and less disruptive way”. Targeted is the provision of “computer servers that permit out-of-band (‘OOB’) firmware updates during boot from a local or remote repository, including without limitation the SR Series, ST Series, SD Series, and SE Series ThinkSystem Servers”.

I'm not sure why it doesn't work today. It worked yesterday. I did a patent serach on patent 12451002. The link showed a thorough explanation about the patent. It even had diagrams of how it operates. Maybe the government shut down has something to do with it not opening.

Quest has officially received its sixth patent for an Automated Highway System. (A system and method for controlling vehicles and for providing assistance to operated vehicles...). All six patents are good until 4/5/2036. The new patent # 12451002
