PMIR has reorganized.

The mortgage insurance company was placed into receivership in 2012 by the Arizona Department of Insurance and never went out of business. Technically, the business is a non-controlled subsidiary. Eventually, the policies will run off due to insured properties being paid off or sold. At some point, PMIR would regain control once capital levels meet or exceed regulatory guidelines.

So they back in business now? I lost so much money back in 2013 here.

Old shares are toast.

Crazy to see this stock back....I held the old ones through the end and watched them turn into CUSIPS then disappear from my account. There was a +1000% run on heavy volume at one point. There must be hidden value somewhere in that corporate structure...

Spoke with my broker and he advised; if you owned/acquired PMI Group shares between 2006-2008 you get something... Shares acquired after 2008 - you get NOTHIN...

I'm sure you're probably right but i've had shares "cancelled" before because the company was bought out and my shares were reissued. I'm probably whistling past the graveyard but like I (and others) have said my accounts still shows value.

As far as I know that is true but I own shares in both a TDA & Fidelity account and they both still show them with value.

Interestingly, my TD Ameritrade Acct TODAY showed PPMIQ dropping $.03 to $0 and it removed that amount, SIMULTANEOUSLY it put back an amount under 69344M101 at the price of $.049. So my account value actually increased today???

I'm not expecting anything, but who knows?

Shares are cancelled. It's over. Time to take a tax loss.

I've read many of the documents pretty thoroughly, and what your saying seems similar to what I've been wondering.

Even though I'm discouraged by the stock being taken off the OTC without much explanation, I'm still hopeful that our shares are worth something. There was nothing in the bankruptcy reemergence release pertaining to the shareholders either.

I get the sense that it's in everyone's(creditors, equity, regulators, policyholders) best interest to keep the details under wraps until all the claims are cleared up.

According to the paper work, which I have kept up on throughout the entire train wreck (at least for common holders) that this has been, distributions of cash and cash and stock will be issued for the reorganized company for those who had made "valid claims." Some things may be coming our way, assuming the common stock I held since 2011 qualifies as a valid claim, regardless if proof of such claim was ever made.

There is going to be a class action if the aforementioned is not executed. In such a case, it may be likely, if we assume that this case will be somewhat representative of other BK cases, that common holders will receive some settlement, which could exceed what the stock was trading at prior to the seize and or the BK.

Any thoughts on this, for anyone else who has kept up with the litany of legal documents?

my fidelity & my tda account are showing the same thing but I talked to fidelity this morning, I was told on Friday when the last trades settle to expect it to go to zero.

I have a question.Since ppmiq is not trading and its dead symbol now ,why in my scottrade account is showing i have money left under ppmiq symbol worth per share same as it stopped trading yesterday? Can someone explain that.
