Your hysterics are almost amusing. We are currently wrapping up the June-July production cycle. Notice the last month in this cycle? We could get another great progress report either right before or just after Independence Day. And with KBLB, we could get any number of unexpected surprise reports, at any time. Tic-Toc.

If this current run follows the exponential growth pattern we've seen from the last two runs, we could see an output exceeding 5 metric tons in a single cycle.

KBLB's roadmap to scale production toward a 10 metric ton per month milestone kicked into high gear with the April-May production launch. Every harvest this year has demonstrated massive growth compared to the last, proving that Kraig Labs’ multi-ton commercial strategy is fully operational. It's not a "snap your fingers and it's done" process. But to be able to scale up to commercial scale output in just a few cycles is pretty amazing.

Ignore the noise; the production ramp-up is right on schedule.
KBLB is making what no others can. Many would benefit to make you think otherwise.

How easy it remains to manipulate an otc stock, buy a stock down with 400 shares at 0,102, but before buy 130000 shares at 0,106....smart people here at work, dummies waiting for a chart breakout before jumping in at much higher prices and complaining "Why didn't i get in this stock while it was at 0,10, ...0,11,...0,12...0,13 when it will be near a dollar in the near future....

I agree with that statement. I’ve always hated the fluff PRs. We don’t need a PR every week just for the sake of having a PR.

I don’t think they have pumped any brakes. It takes quite a bit of time to complete reeling. It think it takes like 7 to 10 days just to dry out and condition the silk before reeling. It needs sorting, grading, quality control testing etc. Then it needs to be processed into yarns. That weaving or knitting then has to be tested. They may be holding back from a PR that just says “reeling is complete. “ Possibly , they are waiting until they can combine that news with a much bigger PR that says “yarn processing is complete and first shipment to customer has been made”. Or maybe it’ll be “first commercial textile trial underway “. OR it could be a bottleneck where the facility or facilities hasn’t kept up with the demand to have the cocoons reeled. They ARE at the mercy of that labor force.

Whatever the reason, I’m not concerned. I want the company to be slow and methodical and get it right. In the meantime , I will happily continue to buy shares at a discount when others are panicking and expecting the worst.

What "newbies" actually see are the many hand-puppets who post on here daily about how they hate this company or the leadership. All while having to constantly move the goalposts of their complaints, every single time KBLB makes big progress. It can't be done. Well, it can't be done in metric tons. Well, it can't be done in metric tons monthly. Well…but, but. What an actual waste of everyone's time. Take a breath, sit down, and really think about why they would try so hard, and spend so much time and effort doing this.

When KBLB has 5 facilities at full production, they will complain that it isn't 10. When it hits .50 pps, they will complain that it isn't at $1.00 pps. When they are shipping to 5 customers, they will complain that it isn't to 100 customers. Any guesses at what point the Debbie Downers will just go away?

I wouldn't worry about the noise. For the first time in this company's history, the gears of production are moving. Kraig Labs has created redundancy by utilizing 4 separate production facilities. They have mitigated the risks of having all their eggs in one basket.

Each one of these production facilities are producing cocoons in perpetuity. There is no more stopping for analysis, or quality assessments, or anything. The production only grows from this point on.

My recommendation is to tune out the noise. In the near term, the old gripes about not having production, products, revenues, etc. will all be gone.

Kraig labs has already produced enough silk for at least 5,000 pairs of shoes. We are currently in commercial production and the silk that is being produced now and every month has to go somewhere.

Just hang on. This summer is going to be really fun.

They released 700,000 silkworm eggs to their different production facilities. Then in april they announced they had produced 1.3 tonnes of cocoons. Then a week later they revised it to 1.8 tonnes (probably once numbers from a final facility came in). Go read the PR's.

The 700000 eggs only produced 1.3 metric tonnes.  The had a million eggs.  So somewhere around 1.8 grams would probably be more accurate.  Why would they have to improve if they already are out producing mundane silkworms?

The stock price keeps fluctuating and holding at .11 for quite some time. A good PR with an indication of a product line, quantities of silk is just around the corner. Come on Kim give us a PR that takes us out of the .11 limbo. It is coming!!!!

Just some more back-of-the-napkin math again:

The company released 700,000 silkworm eggs beginning in February. That batch created about 1.8 tonnes of cocoons. This means KBLB's cocoons are coming in at an average weight of 2.5 grams each. Typical commercial silkworm cocoons range from 1.5 grams to 2.5 grams, so KBLB's silkworms are on the highest end of the spectrum of cocoon weights.

What this means is we can now start roughly predicting raw silk weights from egg batch size.

If we allow a conservative estimate of 15% of the total cocoon weight to transfer into raw silk weight, we can start calculating expected tonnage.

So from those assumption you get something like this:

4 million silkworm eggs = 10 tonnes of silkworm cocoons = 1.5 tonnes of raw silk.

So if we get a PR that they have hatched 4 million eggs, that will essentially be like saying that they are at monthly metric ton levels of finished spider silk production, which has been their goal.

I think you’re right about it possibly being shoes. If I recall , reading or hearing correctly …back in like 2016 or 2017 COO John talked about them working with a company whose shoes he’s got in his closet. Anyway shoes command a premium in sportswear so it would absolutely make sense.

A nice coincidence. Maybe it just means that the shoe route is so obvious for KBLB especially when you have a limited resource like spider silk.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the next PR is an announcement of custom yarn being finished and spooled. And if that's the case, I think it would be a very good thing.

Over the last few months, the company's messaging has changed a little bit. First, they have focused in on their first commercial partner. Although any of the 3 company's would have been excellent, they've decided to supply the sports apparel company fist. Secondly, more and more they have highlighted how they are developing yarns. This is a subtle change from the past when they had highlighted the goal of making fabrics. I think this is a bit of a subtle tell.

The company has publicly said that the the first applications that this sports apparel company is targeting is one of the most high demanding and innovative segments of the industry. To me, the segment that fits this description the most is footwear. I can think of no other segment of the apparel industry that would appreciate a high strength, high flex and durable fiber, than footwear. Not to mention, footwear is more frequently innovating compared to other high-demand segments like outerwear.

But this is where it gets really exciting. Over the past decade, Nike has pioneered their Flyknit technology. Instead of cutting out pieces of the upper shoe out of fabric yards and then sowing them together, the Flyknits use computer driven machines to knit yarns onto a mold of the shoe. This reduces most of the waste that occurs with cutting shapes out of fabric then stitching. It also means that yarns need to be highly customized because different parts of the shoe have different thickness/weaves than other parts. So KBLB might need to have several different yarns for a single shoe, not to mention different colors. And we know KBLB has been working with this company for about a year at least.

Nike isn't the only company who does this. Now, basically all major footwear brands have some line that incorporates knitting for the uppers of their shoes. This is because it is so much more practical, especially with valuable materials.

The best part about this process is the efficiency they get from the yarns. On average, each Nike shoe that uses Flyknit technology only uses about 34 grams of yarn material. That is incredibly efficiency. This means that even if a shoe from a partner used 50 grams of KBLB's spidersilk yarn each, they could make 10,000 pairs of shoes per 1 ton of spider silk. That is a heck of a lot of shoes per ton, and would most definitely be considered as commercial quantities.

Just with the 4.3 tonnes of cocoons that have been announced within the last couple months, the company should conservatively have 500 to 700 kilos of finished silk. Already this could produce at least 5,000 pairs of high performance knit shoes. If next we see them PR the silk has been twisted into custom yarns for the customer, I think this will be a tell that it is going to some sort of knitted application, and my bet would be shoes. KBLB's spider silk is such a precious product right now since the supply is so low. So choosing an application that maximizes it's use and minimizes it's waste seems like the smartest way to go.

I don't really care which apparel brand KBLB has chosen. But if they target footwear and it's Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Hoka, or even Sketchers, I won't care. If they can move inventory quickly, it'll instantly transform KBLB into a $Billion company. I wouldn't want to be a person betting that it's not one of those companies.

TL:DR My best guess would be that the first commercially available consumer products with Kraig Labs spidersilk will be shoes.
