FRANKLIN, Tenn., Dec. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Experian Health
and Passport®, the healthcare-industry leader for a
single revenue-cycle platform, today announced that, according to
the 2014 KLAS Patient Access Report, it leads the market,
surpassing other vendors in terms of mindshare and performance.
Experian Health's patient access solution, eCare NEXT®,
was analyzed for the report and scored highest overall due to the
growth in adoption and respondents' strong satisfaction with its
ease of use and product functionality.
"We are extremely pleased by the results of the KLAS report,"
said Scott Bagwell, president of
Experian Health. "The Experian Health team is committed to ensuring
our customers achieve the highest level of product performance and
service that they expect. We are focused on continuous innovation
and constantly evaluating new ways to both improve and streamline
the revenue cycle process. eCare NEXT was designed to empower a
more efficient, accurate and productive workflow by automating
manual processes, exception-based processing and accelerating cash
flow."
The report looks at how enterprise vendors performed across
several different categories. Experian Health ranked highest in all
categories, including Eligibility Verification, Address
Verification/Patient ID, Propensity to Pay,
Preauthorization/Precertification, Registration QA, Patient
Responsibility Estimator and Point-of-Service Collections.
Additional findings from the report show that 23 percent of the
providers are looking to add patient-access functionality to
achieve an enterprise workflow environment or consolidate to a
single vendor partner.
eCare NEXT is an integrated workflow platform incorporating
Touchless Processing™ to automate revenue cycle
workflows intelligently and clear patients financially. This
approach enables healthcare organizations to centralize operations,
where appropriate, and focus resource efforts only on those
exceptions that need attention. The resulting benefit is
significant in that it optimizes payment certainty across all
patients while enabling healthcare providers to manage all orders,
scheduling, registration and financial clearance through a single
business partner. eCare NEXT also supports population health
management initiatives by streamlining workflow, identifying and
managing specialty members at the point of service, and reducing
readmissions.
