Even worse, Earthjustice is reportedly receiving funding from the Chinese Communist Party via an aligned Chinese energy foundation. An investigation by the Pelican Institute For Public Policy revealed that Earthjustice received donations exceeding $6.5 million from Energy Foundation China to file lawsuits against American fossil fuel energy interests. Chinese industries would benefit both from the sudden increased market for renewables and batteries in the US and from handicapping US energy and industrial capacity.

Fact is, my point still stands. Lab delays are a widespread issue but they are not global. From my personal experience, four different labs on two different continents are giving me fire assay results usually less than two weeks after sample submission. Many times in my career I have sent samples (prepped, split, subsamples) half way around the world to beat laboratory backlogs. Only during covid was this a global problem. So, if I can do it, why can't Dateline?

You're playing the long game of course. DTR may well be highly successful down the road. However, with what's in the bag currently, they're still overvalued. Double their gold resource, get into production, they should be a several billion dollar company in a few years time. Discover large REE deposits, a whole different ball game of course, but you can't ascribe any value to that side of the story until they've done the several year REE drill-out. These guys need more rigs. With A$80M+ in cash, they should buy a few. A lot of us are using Chinese rigs, knock-offs of Longyear and Atlas Copco rigs, dirt cheap and they work fine as long as you're prepared to replace hydraulics and electricals fairly quickly...

My best guess is they’ve got three rigs. I’m not surprised there’s a bit of confusion on the count because of the way past announcements have overlapped.

I already acknowledged earlier some of the examples I brought up wouldn’t be perfect apples-to-apples comparisons. Fact is, my point still stands.

And don’t presume I’m fighting hard to defend this. You have a habit of being presumptuous toward others. Yes, we bought sub-penny. We have no intention of selling. We ignored the rise in share price because we believe there is more to come, more worth waiting for.

One of our investment guidelines is to look ahead for two, three, four, five years at stated goals and achieveable milestones. Do we see the potential for growth and increased cash flow? Why or why not? That’s where the research and homework comes in.

Apologies. I forgot that one. Still, two Au results PR's in what 5 or 6 months, with up to 6 rigs turning (according to some here) is pretty poor. I thinks there's actually only 3 rigs turning and probably one dedicated to REEs, so lets say two rigs going steady for 6 months should be on the order of 8,000 to 10,000m drilled. How much have they released in 6 months? A fraction of that. One has to question why. Is is solely poor lab turn-around time? Could be. Why don't these guys then put on their big boy pants and install an independent prep lab at the 'mine' and ship samples to Vancouver where I know turn-around times are not so horrendous. This lab slow-down is absolutely not global.

One of your 'examples' by the way was IAMGold. They're an upper mid-tier producer and don't have to report drilling results at all or can report whenever they feel like it, so strike them. Their investors mostly just want to see production and AISC figures. The others are cherry picked junior-juniors. I could do the same, besides my own personal example, and come up with numerous examples of assays reported in a much more timely manner. Certainly for gold, multi-element analysis I can't comment on as knowledgably...

First’s let’s address a very blatant error in your post. You say DTREF hasn’t posted any gold assays in four months.

On May 15—LESS than a month ago—they released an announcement titled Colosseum Gold Mineralisation Extended by Broad Intersections. Included in the report were these results:

CM25-41 – 287.3m @ 1.05g/t Au from 0m, including 17.7m @ 6.13g/t Au from 19.2m o
CM26-42 - 214m @ 1.06g/t Au from 0m, including 87.9m @ 1.59g/t Au from 12.2m

For the benefit of readers here, again, that’s LESS than a month ago, NOT four months.

Second, it’s great that you got fast results on your real-world example. I’m glad for you—really. But it doesn’t change the ironclad fact there are different lag times for different companies for different reasons. I’ve cited four different examples in just a few short days. And I’ve provided readers with actual mine names and data so they can follow up and do their own research and evaluate each situation on its own merits.

In your case just now, and frequently in the past, you’ve provided no backup info. No way for anyone to research the big-picture context. That’s your prerogative.

But the point I’ve made still holds true: the reality is that lag times differ. Sometimes they are longer than others.

Finally, the constant implication you make in your criticisms against other people’s observations on this board is that you’re always right because you’re a mining professional and therefore others are wrong. In doing this, you insinuate that only mining professionals are qualified to evaluate mining investments.

Not true. An astute and well-informed investor who does their homework and research can make good decisions (as well as bad ones).

We all get that you’re a professional. You’ve made that extremely, extremely, extremely, extremely clear.

But your real-world experiences are limited by the fact you are only one person working at only so many mines. Your experiences may very well be valid. But they do NOT apply to every situation in the mining world. The data I’ve pulled up confirms that.

The reason I post here is to help broaden the dialogue by sharing what’s going on out there—not narrow the dialogue by holding my own views against all else that is out there.

Where are the gold results? Apparently fire assays are much easier/quicker than ICP-MS for REEs.
They haven't released any gold assays for 4 months. Have they stopped drilling for Au?

Here's another real world example of drill report lag time: I submitted 586 core samples to an Intertek lab on May 13 for 50g fire assay/AA finish (for Au) and received all results by May 24 and press released May 28...

As we wait on the drill results at Colosseum—with the first announcements due soon—I thought I’d share another example of drill report lag time that I came across during research.

On June 8, Volta Metals Ltd. released an announcement about their Springer REE Project in Ontario, Canada, Drilling was done from January to April 2026. Don’t know what day they stopped drilling in April. But they did 13 holes, and ONLY one hole was reported on June 8, which expanded the known REE-Ga mineralization at the site.

There are still another 12 holes yet to be reported. What’s noteworthy in the announcement is the detailed QA/QC Protocol. Read that, and it becomes clear that for assays, due diligence can take time.

The samples are being analyzed using Code 8-REE Assay with subsequent analysis by ICP and ICP/MS.

Comparatively speaking, we were told on May 15 that five drill holes have been completed so far at Colosseum. So timewise—in this case and in the cases I reported in an earlier post some days ago—DTREF isn’t “late.” It’s very much within reason for us to wait another week or two or three to find out what’s in those initial drill core samples.

Media & Environmental Litigation Clarification
In mid-April, the company issued a clarifying statement regarding some nervous headlines floating around about U.S. legal filings. The litigation—brought by the National Parks Conservation Association—actually names U.S. federal agencies, not Dateline itself. Dateline confirmed that its permitted operations are completely unaffected and continue smoothly under its existing approved Plan of Operations, noting that the media coverage largely ignored the company's long-standing, valid existing mining rights. Insiders have recently reiterated that the government's formal defense response to that environmental suit is expected by the end of June.

Yes, it has been baggies galore in the world of DTREF. Smart money bought the December lows and sold during those Spring highs. I think the high hopes for a very promising BFS and REE assays dissuaded many from securing any profits, which of course has been catastrophic. Oh well, better luck next time. In the meantime, I'm still expecting that nickel to hit soon enough

Single pennies have been here, just like I had stated they would. There was absolutely nothing of substance that justified the PPS remaining in the teens, and there currently is nothing of huge significance to suggest that the low single pennies won't soon start printing! Just like the PPS was less than a nickel a year ago this month, so shall it return to that very same nickel in due time. Still, good luck to all the baggies

US .04 cents is not reasonable either. Looks like we may have hit bottom here. With news on the horizon Dateline can shoot right up at any time.

Nah, I think ~ US$ 0.04 (->mkt cap of up to ~ $180M) is reasonable for a 1.1 Moz pre-dev Au resource sans REE's. I don't give MV nor the strontium thing much value yet.
The relentless 84% decline from the March high has been something else. Pity those who didn't sell long ago to buy back in at a few cents.

My record and reality concerning DTREF have not changed. I have always been a long-term holder and told many I would hold minimum of One year for tax purposes.. DTREF is a legacy play for me and always expected to hold it and pass on to my daughter

I think there are tortoises there too. They're not uncommon in the Mohave. Or anywhere in Arizona desert areas.....I personally rescued two tortoises from the bottom of a short (15'?) collapsed mine shaft in the last year on a mining property just north of Tucson. They tumbled in, and couldn't navigate the old wooden ladder, poor things. There was an empty tortoise shell at the bottom of the shaft, a past victim.

America's second REE mine?
A more hospitable area of the SW at least. No angry tortoises...

Lodestar actually has confirmed REE's and their market cap is only $4M. Hmmm......
