From all indications China wants foreign investment. And I believe foreign investors would like the opportunity to invest in one of the fastest growing economies in the world. It's not enough that big companies like Tencent and BABA catch a bid. It would be helpful if small company investors get some protections so they can also invest in China.

Any SCEI-Sino Clean Energy stock holders here? Ren is in jail in China. Seiden's effort are starting to pay off. Just hope we get a decent settlement.

Interesting article. The author must have a lot of time to spend on screening stocks or a good screener - a lot to cover. on stocks like CCGY .. CCGY should have announced dividend sooner. Receivership group probably knew. The press release was hard to find. Not sure they legally allowed enough time between press release and distribution.

A good book to read is "The Vulture Investors" by H.Rosenberg. There is a whole class of investors who pick through the scrap heap left over by others. This style of investing can take years to play out i.e bankruptcies and negotiated settlements.

TDAmeritrade has the distribution listed as return of capital. This could be changed later.

I care about CCGY trading because I may sell my shares or wait and see how much a future distribution could be. It would likely be a small distribution if there is one but I also am looking at the tax situation. What is best to do sell or hold. I had a large position.

Why would it not be trading. They went dark in 2012 the proper way and can't be revoked. From the press release it seems 2 subsidiaries were transferred and I'm not sure if there is anything left, nor do I care. But empty shells trade on OTC as well. Perhaps the ticker will be acquired by some other company at some point in the future.

Anyone know about possible taxes? I am involved in another company and we don't what a settlement to be a distribution. This is distributed as a dividend.

Me too. Those are the rules. Although I didn't buy a lot because I didn't feel like paying more than 0.04 for the stock last monday.

I got in one day before ex-dividend day and sold on dividend day and got paid as well. nice

Yes, one day after the ex-date is when you get paid. 1/10/2018. Account for 1 extra day. 2 extra days because I'm from Holland.

CCGY is still trading. I put in an order to sell 1k shares today and they sold on my offer price. I put the offer in low to see if it still trades because i don't think any shares were traded since the started making the distribution of .06.

I guess we will find out.

My interpretation is this might be handled in 2 steps. An initial distribution and a final distribution to wrap things up. People need to get paid for their work during the process, hence an initial distribution. Just a guess though.

You have to hold until tomorrow to qualify for the dividend.

There are companies working on glasses that will contain computer technology, but by 2020 it will be as small as a contact that goes into your eye. They will carry full internet capability.

There will be three nations that will emerge this year as forerunners of new computer technology (quantum computers) China, Great Britain, and America whoever breaks the code will lead the future.

Watch China and Japan they are going to emerge with new clean energy technology. A Hydrogen based energy.

The company just hasn't communicated well with shareholders since the beginning of 2012. The CFO left in April and the 2011 year end financial audit hasn't been completed. They recently made several filings with otcmarkets.com included financials thru 2011, which indicates the business is ongoing. If you call the company you'll need a Chinese interpreter. Enough said.

Wow..what happened here? This had such terrific potential a few years back. i lost touch with it over the years and just looked and am shocked...well not shocked...surprised.

If you read the disclosure filing, under beneficial owners, you will see that the CEO & his wife own 48.34%(15.3 million) and another director owns 7.6%(2.4 million) shares. This is very good news, as they would surely act in the best interest of shareholders and the Corporation. The bylaws filing, in Article 2, section 2, states that 10% of the shareholders submitting a signed certified request may call a shareholders meeting to address a specific issue.

Reported earnings for the year ended 12/31/2011 were actually 27 cents, although they earned only 1 cent in the last quarter. This could be a fantastic buy at 5 cents, assuming that quarterly earnings incrase into 2012.

I find it a bit funny that net assets per share at the end of last year were more than 1.5 dollars versus a stock price of about 5 cents. Ernings per share were in excess of 20 cents.

The OTC markets website has received four new filings from CCGY, including a disclosure statement that includes financials through 12/31/2011. It seems their trying to make some additional information available.
