FSI ENERGY SERVICES INC. (TSX VENTURE:FSI) ("FSI") announced today that it has
entered into a commercial contract to complete bench testing for a major
Canadian Oil Company for specialized water treatment technologies and processes.

FSI is currently operating these projects by way of a joint venture with
Waterworks Technologies of Calgary. This firm brings experience from hundreds of
water treatment projects worldwide, and decades of expertise. "With FSI's
long-time oilfield fluid separation experience and Waterworks Technologies'
water treatment packaging, we have a very strong ability to help our customers
with any water issues," from Perry Ball, FSI Energy VP.

"Our JV with FSI has allowed us to develop inroads into the local and worldwide
oilfield markets using several new technologies and full-scale solutions," adds
Len Sukovieff, owner and President of Waterworks Technologies.

FSI-Waterworks have been successfully testing, developing and implementing water
treatment technologies over the past year. These technologies pertain to
oilfield water re-use such as frac flow- back water, general produced waters,
SAGD, and boiler feed-water. We have developed packaged water treatment products
and services for the oilfield sector which allow oilfield water reuse, avoid
environmental concerns, and help its clients eliminate disposal costs.

The water treatment packages leverage FSI's existing filtration/purification
expertise, proprietary technologies, and allow the company to deliver complete
water treatment solutions with shorter lead times, greater cost efficiency and
highly customized equipment suited to each clients needs.
