No one does what SolarWinds does so elegantly but with lots of tolerable bugs.

Great toolset, but very fragmented. It took 25 years to get here. No other product is nearly as full featured. LogicMonitor sucks. PRTG sucks. Splunk sucks. ELK sucks. All of these cannot touch SolarWinds.

Keep in mind the report about the hack that was written outlining the technical details took months to produce. They hid this from customers and the industry for months. That report wasn’t written overnight. It took months to create. Meanwhile, while they hid the hack thousands of companies and governments across the world were left exposed. This charge is well deserved despite the CEO letter to customers released today. You didn’t give a F.

SolarWinds will be acquired by MS or Amazon at some point. It’s only a matter of time. AWS and Azure monitoring is light years behind SolarWinds which is ultimately a massive heap of Win32 .NET garbage - but functional. There is no AWS native monitoring beyond simple disk, cpu, up/down etc. Azure Monitor is garbage still using old SCOM agent.
