At 122 ships, panamax/kamsarmax contracts have topped order levels over the past three years and are the highest since 2013, Alphabulk says.

Salt is doing great and no new posts weird.

Friday SALT could never get over 5.00, for long, and the options I sold, expired, worthless.

I most likely will sell another $5 call, maybe the January. The call next in line is the $7, will have a very low bid, and if I sell a $5 call around 5.80, maybe I get a $1.00 for it, and should really expect it will be taken away at $5. My net price would be 5+0.25+1.00 = 6.25.

Sure, I bought 300 SALT @ 2.775 on 6/30/2016

I watched in pop up on 7/1/2016 and Sold 3 SALT Dec 16 2016 5.0 Call @ 0.25 (168 days to expiration) for $62.66. This was protection money for me and I did not know SALT would rise for sure.

That call option gave to one who bought the option, that I sold the right to 'call away' my stock from me at $5.00 at anytime up until Dec 16, 2016.

The stock has been up above $5 and made it worth the effort to take my stock. Now it is below $5 no one will pay me that much. If I buy the option back, for less then I sold it for, I make the difference. And get to keep the stock, no matter what the price does.

If the option expires 'out of the money' I pocket the entire amount I sold it for.

The 16DEC16 $5 call was still at 0.05x0.30. I was bidding 0.05, and withdrew when no takers. Price now 0.05 x 0.10, and I will let my calls expire or they can have it at $5.

Some higlights I picked out

“The second quarter of 2016 is arguably being the quarter of change for Scorpio Bulkers. We believe our balance sheet is now sufficiently strong to take us through at least the end of 2018 and eventually with a few non-equity adjustments, if necessary; this can take us beyond that.
As such the company and management focus has transitioned from balance sheet issues, towards operational matters. We're focusing on efficiency in operations and improving our headline revenue to the market.

Despite the general improvement in the market and despite our balance sheet and cash flows, we're at present trading at a considerable discount to net asset value. We, as management, need to do better in this regard.

Insiders in recent months have significantly increased their shareholding, which in total is now nearly 25% of the company.

As of today, we have $229 million in cash. We have $191 million of payments due on our remaining 10 new buildings. And we have $129 million of available debt….current cash of $229 million. We have available debt of $129 million and less than a $191 million of remaining new builds installments. We have pro forma liquidity of $167 million of runway available for the coming years. And again I think that’s a position we're very comfortable with and we think you can be too.”

This can be the stock of the year. Good luck, I only discovered it when it appeared on my screen and it was too rich for the risk for me at 30% gains, then I needed to take my daughter to ballet and it crashed 15 percent. Oh well should have done a purchase on close order. Overweight rating by Meryl Lynch and possible huge gains from here if anyone follows me keep this on watch for Monday could be HUGE.
