Transaction Documents Converge With Personalized Mail at Print '05
STAMFORD, Conn., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pitney Bowes
Inc. (NYSE:PBI), the world's leading provider of integrated mail
and document management solutions, will showcase a comprehensive
suite of mailing and fulfillment solutions at the Print '05
Conference, to be held September 9 - September 14 at the McCormick
Place Complex in Chicago, Illinois. On display at booth #3667 will
be new hardware, software and service offerings that allow print
and mail operations to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of
their customer communications and mailings. Pitney Bowes will
showcase its customer communications management (CCM) solutions at
work, including the introduction of a new high speed inserter that
delivers the perfect combination of speed (delivering up to 14,000
mail pieces per hour), flexibility and integrity for
high-performance processing of multiple mail applications.
Additional new Pitney Bowes products on display will include: *
API-Unwinder, a roll input solution to improve productivity and job
quality with integration to Direct Connect providing operators with
a single point interface for easy operation; * DM Infinity(TM)
Series digital meter enhancements for permit and graphics printing.
The mailing system's new capabilities include integration for
manifesting/postal evidencing and the ability to deliver more
personalized permit mail for a great customer response rate; * EFF
Envelope Finishing Systems, a new printing and scanning solution
that virtually customizes envelopes during the inserting process,
which allows mailers to standardize their envelope types to help
reduce inventory. All information is printed on the envelope --
just in time - - including variable messages -- and the mail pieces
are also scanned to ensure integrity. Showcasing CCM@Work, Pitney
Bowes' integrated solution will include an IBM Infoprint(R) 4100
printing real-time with Hunkeler pre- and post-processing.
Attendees will see how a transactional document evolves into a
personalized direct mail application with scalable integrity,
inline printing, variable data messaging, business geographics,
data quality, document composition postal efficiency and
multi-channel electronic distribution. And learn how customer data
and responses lead to the evolution of a cross-sell opportunity to
improve the bottom-line. In addition, attendees will see how
DFWorks(R) intelligent document factory management solutions help
mailers simplify mail operations planning and management, while
pinpointing opportunities to fine tune workflow for increased
productivity. Pitney Bowes will also showcase its industry-leading
high-speed APS(TM) Series inserter processing up to 22,000 mail
pieces per hour and feature our latest high speed input, the
API-50S, a sheet feeder that can process up to 50,000 sheets per
hour for maximum productivity. For high-volume mailers seeking full
compliance with the USPS(R) digital meter mandate, demonstrations
of the new DM Infinity(TM) Series Digital Mailing System will be
available. In addition to being the only digital meter family in
the world to meter up to 22,000 mail pieces per hour, the DM
Infinity system will demonstrate its ability to print meter
indicia, customized messages and now permit mail, helping mailers
reduce costs, run times and inventory of pre-printed envelopes.
Group 1 Software, a Pitney Bowes company, will offer demonstrations
of the unique Customer Communication Management (CCM) solution that
simplifies the gathering and manipulation of data, streamlines
document creation and distribution, and ensures information is
useful, accessible and secure. These solutions automatically
update, track and close the loop on transactions to improve overall
business efficiency. Attendees can preview the latest sorting
solutions in featured presentations about the Olympus(TM) II MT
Sorter, which processes letters at 36,000 pieces per hour with its
integrated ClearScan(TM) technology to minimize risk of costly
MERLIN failures. Exemplar(TM) OCR technology will also be featured
in addition to a video showcase of the new flats processing sorter,
which can sort items as thick as a phone book with superior read
rates Mid-size mailers will also get an opportunity to see the
recently introduced DI900 FastPac(TM) inserting system, a solution
that processes mail pieces ranging from direct mail to advanced
invoicing and information mailings at speeds up to 4,000 mail
pieces per hour. In addition, Pitney Bowes will offer addressing
solutions, mailing systems and package management solutions. Pitney
