Under the new structure, Haemonetics will transition from three reportable segments to two. The previously reported Plasma and Blood Center segments will be combined into a single reportable segment, Apheresis, while the Hospital segment will be renamed MedSurg. The updated segment names more accurately reflect the underlying businesses, technologies, and markets served.Consistent with prior practice, Haemonetics expects to continue providing additional supplemental revenue disclosure in its earnings materials. The Apheresis segment will include supplemental disclosure for Plasma and Other, while the MedSurg segment will continue to include Blood Management Technologies and Interventional Technologies.Haemonetics will begin reporting financial results under its new reportable segment structure with the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, which commenced on March 29, 2026. To facilitate comparability, the Company has posted a supplemental presentation containing recast quarterly historical revenue for fiscal years 2024, 2025, and 2026, as well as a recast of its previously issued fiscal year 2027 revenue guidance. This study, "VASCADE MVP-XL Versus VASCADE MVP for Large-Bore Venous Access-Site Closure in Electrophysiology Procedures: A Single-Center Experience on Efficacy and Complications," was published earlier this week in the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology.The retrospective, non-randomized, observational single-center cohort study included a total of 574 consecutive patients undergoing catheter ablation for atrial arrhythmia, or left atrial appendage closure procedures. The study included some procedures in which VASCADE MVP was used outside the scope of its approved indication, which is for use with 6-12F inner diameter procedural sheaths. Results demonstrated VASCADE MVP XL's superior performance in the context of these large-bore venous access closure procedures, achieving higher procedural success, a more consistent safety profile, and efficient hemostasis without complications, including 0% bleeding complications.In March 2026, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved expanded labeling for the VASCADE MVP XL venous vascular closure system to include procedures using 10-14F inner diameter (ID) and up to 17F outer diameter (OD) procedural sheaths. With this label expansion, the VASCADE MVP XL system is approved for larger sheaths used in market-leading technologies for pulsed field ablation (PFA) and left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) to treat atrial fibrillation.







FDA approval was supported by clinical evidence from the AMBULATE EXPAND trial, a multicenter, prospective, single-arm, pivotal trial designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness in technologies using 17F maximum OD procedural sheaths, such as PFA and LAAC. The study enrolled 77 patients at eight U.S. centers and demonstrated 0% major and 0% minor access site closure-related complications and a median time to ambulation (TTA) of 2.4 hours1. The study results were presented at the AF Symposium 2026 in Boston in February and published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology in March. The VASCADE MVP XL system features a 25F diameter disc and 19 milligrams of resorbable, thrombogenic collagen and has been available in the U.S. for use with 10-12F ID and 15F maximum OD procedural sheaths. It is now the only extravascular venous closure system clinically proven in electrophysiology procedures using up to 17F OD procedural sheaths. Haemonetics Corporation (NYSE:HAE) reported fiscal third-quarter 2026 results on Thursday that exceeded analyst expectations, posting adjusted earnings per share of $1.31, ahead of the consensus estimate of $1.25. Revenue for the quarter reached $339 million, surpassing the forecast of $331.91 million.The company’s shares were largely unchanged in after-hours trading following the announcement.The medical technology firm reported a 2.7% decline in total reported revenue compared with the same period last year. However, organic revenue — excluding the transitional supply agreement with CSL Plasma — increased 7.5%. Adjusted operating margin expanded to 26.3%, up 60 basis points year-on-year, while adjusted gross margin rose 250 basis points to 60.2%.“Third quarter revenue growth, margin expansion, and cash flow reflect the underlying strength of our core businesses,” said Chris Simon, Haemonetics’ CEO. “Blood Management Technologies and Plasma continue to drive our strong performance while we take targeted actions to reestablish momentum in Interventional Technologies and prepare for a US launch of PerQseal Elite.”Haemonetics also raised its full-year fiscal 2026 outlook. The company now expects organic revenue growth of between 0% and 2%, and organic revenue growth excluding CSL of 8% to 10%, compared with its previous projection of between -1% and 2%. Adjusted earnings per share guidance was increased to a range of $4.90 to $5.00, up from the earlier $4.80 to $5.00 forecast. The company also lifted its free cash flow outlook to between $200 million and $220 million, from the prior range of $170 million to $210 million.By segment, Plasma revenue rose 3.5% to $138.9 million, while Hospital segment revenue remained relatively stable at $143.5 million. Blood Center revenue declined 19.6% to $56.6 million, largely due to the divestment of the Whole Blood product line completed in January 2025.Free cash flow for the quarter totalled $74.2 million, representing a 150.9% increase from the same period last year, supported by favourable working capital adjustments and reduced inventory purchases.Haemonetics Corporation stock price
