World Airways Extends Leases on Two MD-11 Freighters

Company Also Signs Contract for DC-10 Cargo Service PEACHTREE CITY,
Ga., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- World Airways, a wholly
owned subsidiary of World Air Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:WLDA), has
extended its leases on two MD-11F cargo aircraft through April and
May 2015. The lease agreements with GECAS were scheduled to expire
in 2010. "We continue to see high demand for international cargo
capacity and we want to ensure that we have the aircraft to meet
that demand long-term," said Rob Binns, World Air Holdings chief
marketing officer. World Airways also signed an ACMI contract with
an international freight forwarder to provide DC-10-30F domestic
cargo service through June 30, 2006. "Both World Airways DC-10
freighters are now under contract at least through the middle of
2006," said Binns. "This agreement has an estimated value of $3
million." World Airways, a wholly owned subsidiary of World Air
Holdings, Inc., is a U.S.-certificated air carrier providing
customized transportation services for major international
passenger and cargo carriers, international freight forwarders, the
United States military and international leisure tour operators.
