SNFCA 8.12 - Amendment to Stock Repurchase Plan

On December 4, 2020, the Board of Directors of Security National Financial Corporation (the “Company”) approved an amendment to the Company’s Stock Repurchase Plan which authorized the repurchase of additional shares of the Company’s Class A Common Stock in the open market. This amendment in the form of an additional share repurchase authorization would increase the number of authorized shares that may be repurchased in the open market by another 700,000 shares of the Company’s Class A Common Stock. It should be noted that 234,323 of the original 300,000 shares of the Company’s Class A Common Stock that the Board authorized on September 7, 2018 have been repurchased in the open market.

For the three months ended September 30, 2020, SNFC’s after-tax earnings from operations increased 710.2% from $3,617,000 in 2019 to $29,305,000 in 2020, on a 94.0% increase in revenues to $146,205,000. SNFC’s after tax earnings for the nine months ended September 30, 2020 increased 468.1% to $51,286,000 from $9,028,000 in 2019

This is one of the best buying opportunities on Nasdaq. Company is expected to have annual earnings over 20 millions, while market cap is only 100 million. Revenues are set annualy to exceed 320 million and debt is only 44 million.
Book value after earnings release of Q4 will remarkably exceed 9.00. And will stay around 9.00 despite 5% stock dividend in Q1 2017.
And the cream on the top - the new management is recently remarkably expanding business, revenues and earnings.

most of the insider selling was "cashless exercise" You have options to buy $1 stock from a year or two ago. The options vest and you want to take them and hold the shares for a year for long term capital gains but you also do not want to put up money. You sell enough of the options shares to pay the taxes and the cost of the rest.

Me to, I have a small stake for quite awhile , with the crushing I am getting this morning I was looking to sell something until I ran into your article,which as got me to adding somewhere in the near future I like everthing I have read and underline the fact I dont know much , but looking at all the insider tractions there seems to me someone is making a lot of money especially insiders, what I dont know is if the trading has anything to do anything because as far as I can tell they are making good money and on paper this next earnings should be very good, but again whats up with insider trading?

I entered too early - $8.25 on the initial drop. The exit was good for my head.

All sells the last two hours almost after the nice push to $9.42. Probably dip to $8.75 area again, who knows.

I left some in but I too sold most in the $9.10's after the intra-day uptrend was broken. Nice little flip today with not much else happening.

out at $9 because I am away 2 weeks... should hit 11 though. just cannot watch the gain disappear.

Elite swing trades... One of my friends posted it there and we dissected financials. I think the amended form 4's killed it.

Good luck to us then. This has got to be one of the quietest boards on IHUB. Saw it mentioned on the Value Microcaps board and decided to jump in today when it held support in the 7.70's. I could live with 30-50%..we shall see.

Bought 8.25 two days ago. 30-50% upside and not much downside to 200 day simple average.

Can't explain the trading the past 8 trading days but I know it held support in the 7.70's and I bought in the 8.20's today. 4th quarter comp should be an easy beat and after being beaten down from $15 to 8.45 now as I type I think the risk/reward is in our favor. Good luck with the trading.
