On the post I'm responding to, I said this when NROM was in the .40s:

I actually like NROM more. It's a pizza company too - Noble Roman's. It has the same yearly sales. Also franchised, but they ahve 6 company owned stores. Both NROM and RAVE were at 51 cents yesterday. NROM is still there, thinly traded, and it's market cap today is the same as RAVE's was yesterday. Same sales almost.

I think the Pizza Inn brand is much more recognizable. But I think is a great deal for anyone that think they missed RAVE.


As usual, it seems I talk to walls around here. The stock is now .65, coming close to a 100% return since the time of this time-stamp. It was announced this week that an Investors Relations man was hired, and he has an impressive background.

I made good profit here and hold 2,000 shares free now. I love this company because of Brandon Salano. Very strong brands in Pizza Inn and Pie 5. I don't understand why over 65 millions shares traded today but I'm not complaining. Good be that frenzy feeds on frenzy. Maybe because the two new hires signal expansion plans rather than mere survival. The company broke even for the year despite the huge revenue decline. The $4m loss is a tax adjustment, not a cash loss.

The New Right-Way Buffet goes above and beyond to ensure that the high-quality food and exceptional service that have been cornerstones of Pizza Inn since 1958 can safely be enjoyed in dining rooms across the country. Many changes and operational procedures have been implemented to keep guests, team members and the entire community safe, including:

All team members will wear safety masks and gloves.
Buffet traffic will be one-way to adhere to social distancing guidelines. At some locations where the layout allows, the buffet has been changed to a model where team members serve guests cafeteria-style. At other locations, team members will serve guests at their tables.
Additional sanitation stations have been added throughout the restaurant.
Each buffet will have a dedicated and visible Sanitizer Captain who will uphold the new cleaning and sanitation standards in the restaurant.
Table-service of items like plates, silverware, napkins and condiments that previously were self-service will now be offered by team members.
The salad bar will look different by location, depending on local or state regulations. Some salads will be grab-and-go, when allowed by the health department, or served at the table. At locations with a fully-operational salad bar, guests will be given gloves or sanitizer, and utensils will be changed after each guest.
Team member will bring fresh utensils and napkins to each guest after they are seated, and many locations are offering options to pay from the table to limit touch-points in the restaurant.
Self-serve beverage stations have been closed and team members will now bring drinks to guests at their tables.

Can you help me understand what this helps insiders get more shares? I assume insiders outside of restricted periods have always been able to just buy shares?

Is this news the reason for the quick move down in early December and jump back up last week?

Does this help to establish a floor of $2 for the future?

Sale became plan B due to new developments and insiders bet on post election trend carryover. Rights offering can and probably will increase insider stake to well over 40%. Its a pretty blatant grab for more shares while the stock is cheap and its pretty clever in how it kicks the shorts in the shorts while giving RAVE enough capital to last until the comparable IPOs starting hitting at 1/2 billion+

Jack in the Box will acquire Pie Five for $40-$50m before EOY

Jack in the Box best bid at $45 million. Dont know if its for just one or both. Somebody will have to come in with higher cash to get them.

I liked it so much in considering starting a franchise in my area with them. Think how Subway's process is. That is how they do it. There was a line out the door. Personal pan was much bigger than Pizza Hut. I only ate half.
