Lytenava and Avastin contain the same active core biological molecule (bevacizumab), but they are not exactly the same product.

While they target wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD) in the exact same biological way, they differ fundamentally in their formulation, manufacturing regulations, and approval status.

Core Differences Between Lytenava and Avastin
Active Ingredient:
Both drugs utilize bevacizumab, an anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody that slows down the growth of abnormal, leaking blood vessels in the back of the eye

.Approval and Intent:
Avastin was originally designed and approved by regulatory bodies as an intravenous cancer treatment.
Using it for wet AMD is considered an "off-label" use.

Lytenava (bevacizumab gamma / bevacizumab-vikg) was specifically developed, formulated, and packaged exclusively for direct injection into the eye (ophthalmic use

Well since I have some time waiting for the FDA decision on UNCY's OLC ...I'll convey my thoughts on OTLK .

There are roughly 3m shots of off label Avastin used each year in the US for Wet AMD .
MD's would much rather prescribe on label ( approved ) Avastin for wet AMD . It removes their legal risk exposure .
There is a minor risk of contamination from the compounded off label use of Avastin .....No MD wants that risk if they can prescribe FDA approved Avastin for Wet AMD

Use in the UK as Lytenava

Lytenava vs. Eylea:
At a list price of £470, Lytenava saves the NHS nearly £350 per injection compared to Eylea (£816). Over a standard course of treatment (roughly 8 to 9 injections in the first year), switching to Lytenava can save thousands of pounds per patient

.Lytenava vs. Lucentis:
Lytenava undercuts Lucentis by roughly £80 per dose at face value. However, NICE reports that clinical trial data shows Lytenava actually achieves better vision outcomes for many patients compared to Lucentis, making it a superior choice for both cost and efficacy.

So thats the market they want access to .
The risks ...beyond risk FDA declines to approve ( maybe 20-30% chance they don't ) is the expected dilution from their recently approved $100m ATM .
If approved expect significant dilution as Co raises cash ( currently only around $7.75 m ) to fund the launch of Lytenava ( their on label Avastin )

So this may very well be a " sell the news " event ( approval ) until the smoke clears from the expected immediate dilution following approval .

OTLK would be smart to wait on any reverse split until the PPS reaches at least $6. That way the amount of shares the company will need for future expenses will be far less than the 600,000,000 that was proposed.

Personally I think the RS is less likely to happen since they are now listing compliant as of Friday, don't get me wrong they may still do one but it would be on the smaller end of the range - just my WAG

Hi everyone 🙂Genuinely, I’m interested in OTLK and I did some macro and DD and I’m actually thinking of opening a position, but I still see a few clear overhangs.

The July 16 shareholder vote is a big one for me. Warrants, authorised share increase and reverse split authority all point to dilution risk, especially when the company still needs cash. So even if the FDA setup looks better now, I’m not sure the stock gets a clean run without financing pressure sitting over it.

Commercially, I also think the bigger question is not just approval, but adoption. Avastin is already widely used off label, and then you’ve got entrenched competition like Eylea, Vabysmo and Lucentis. So Lytenava may have a regulatory/on-label advantage, but I still want to understand how much real market share it can take.

Also, the stock has already had a massive move, so risk/reward is not as simple as it was before the pop.

Well you , Ernie and Wizard have forced me to do more DD on OTLK.
My fav in the space is KOD but what I'm reading in the UK is that their health system wants patients prescribed OTLK's eye drug first , have them fail on that , before paying for Eyelea .
OTLK costs the UK health system about $600 a shot and Eyela about $2k ...however Eylea lasts twice as long .
Small position but looks good for approval in the US late July

The 1st thing I look at in the morning is what stocks have been beaten down at least 50% and then I'll look for the reason, many times it is caused by a stock offering - if that's the case I take the offering price and deduct 30% and if it looks fair to me I BUY IT - NOT A LOT BUT ENOUGH TO GET MY EYES ON IT AND THEN ADD OR JUST KEEP WHAT I GOT UNTIL SOMETHING CHANGES MY MIND.

It works out well in about 80% of the time other times I have to average down if the drop continues without any real reason other than the offering.

There are just so many ways to find stocks you like for whatever reason..... MINE IS MAKING MONEY, so I shoot low and if I catch some shares great if I don't - tomorrow will have new beaten down tickers. I'm too busy to dig into the weeds, I manage 9 family accounts with probably 100s of tickers(some the same and other hold different tickers).

I started with penny stocks in 2009 and the past couple of years I've moved into medical and biotech heavily.

Best ever trade to date: RLLCF bought a total of $85.95 @ .0001 and sold 2 months later for just over $60K - I WASH EXTREMELY SURPRISED BUT IT WAS ALL ABOUT TIMING. TO THIS DAY I CONTINUE TO HOLD SHARES FOR A POSSIBLE RUN AGAIN. I also own RYCEF and RYCEY around .80-$1. and they are currently over $18 - I could bank over $80K if I sold today but I have a $25 target and I'm willing to stick to it.

It's my hobby and a game I really really enjoy.

See that's the thing - I don't dig into the weeds - I simply buy what I believe are beaten down stocks, never overload anything and just let them stagnate or rise when they are ready.

I can't even tell you what they do all I know is the FDA admitted their screwup in regards to this ticker.

I'm a numbers guy and the stories really mean very little to me.

Wish I could have been more informative here but it is just like almost all the others I hold very few had a story that impressed me.

Stumble, Kiwi, Rosemount and others are the DD investors I just love the game, SLS I'm up over 1307.34% and still have a long way to $25 or better

Genuine question, what gives you the strongest conviction here from the commercial side?

I’m starting to understand the bull case better, but still trying to pressure test a few things: how Lytenava is priced versus compounded Avastin, how much 503B/503A compounding pressure really helps, whether payers push it as a cleaner approved option, and how it competes with Eylea/Eylea HD, Vabysmo and biosimilars.

Also curious how you think about the dilution/launch funding risk if approval comes.

Appreciate your views. Just trying to understand what assumptions you’re using for market share, pricing and upside from here.

OTLK Stock Soars 28% After FDA Sets July Date For Lytenava Decision

Shares of Outlook Therapeutics, Inc. (OTLK) jumped 28% on Tuesday after the company announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has accepted its resubmitted biologics license application for LYTENAVA as a treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD).

The agency will now decide whether to approve the drug by July 29, 2026. The company has already begun pre-launch activities.

OTLK's Long Regulatory Road
The FDA had refused to approve the drug in December. Outlook Therapeutics appealed the decision, and the FDA Office of New Drugs subsequently concluded that no additional trials are required, stating that substantial evidence of effectiveness has already been established. The agency instead directed the review division to focus on final product labeling, and the company resubmitted its application earlier this month.

The company's original application was accepted by the FDA in October 2022. In August 2023, the agency issued its first letter refusing approval, citing Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) deficiencies, observations from pre-approval manufacturing inspections, and insufficient substantial evidence of effectiveness.

Outlook responded by addressing the manufacturing issues and, in early 2025, resubmitted the application. The FDA accepted it in April 2025, but the agency denied its approval again in late 2025, this time focusing on a perceived lack of confirmatory efficacy evidence and recommending additional data.

If approved, Lytenava would become the first and only FDA-approved ophthalmic formulation of bevacizumab, an antibody medication used to treat various solid tumors and specific eye diseases. The product is already approved in the European Union and the United Kingdom for wet AMD, a severe, progressive eye condition where abnormal blood vessels grow uncontrollably under the retina. These fragile vessels leak fluid and blood, causing rapid and often irreversible central vision loss if left untreated.

How Did OTLK Retail Traders React?
On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around OTLK stayed within the 'extremely bullish' territory over the past 24 hours, while message volume increased from 'high' to 'extremely high' levels.

A Stocktwits user highlighted that the company has already begun pre-launch activities.

Others voiced hopes for a major rally on approval for the drug.

According to Koyfin data, two of the four analysts covering OTLK rate it 'Buy,' while the other two rate it a 'Hold.' The 12-month average price target on the stock is $5.50, representing a potential upside of 374% from the stock's last close.

OTLK stock has gained 126% this year.
