(NHTC), a leading direct-selling and e-commerce company that markets premium quality personal care, wellness and "quality of life" products under the NHT Global brand, today announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2015.

Fourth Quarter 2015 Financial Highlights

Total revenue increased 108% to $73.7 million, compared to $35.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Revenue from the Company’s Hong Kong operations, which represented 92% of total revenue, increased 120% to $67.7 million, compared to $30.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Revenue outside of Hong Kong increased 27% to $5.9 million, compared to $4.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Operating income increased 129% to $13.9 million, compared to $6.1 million in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Net income available to common stockholders was $13.7 million, or $1.13 per diluted share, compared to $5.8 million, or $0.45 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of 2014.

The number of Active Members1 increased 15% to 109,360 at December 31, 2015, compared to 94,700 at September 30, 2015.

1 Natural Health Trends defines Active Members as those that have placed at least one product order with the Company during the preceding twelve month period.

Full Year 2015 Financial Highlights

Total revenue increased 113% to $264.9 million, compared to $124.6 million for the full year of 2014.

for Second Quarter of 2015

DALLAS, TX, July 28, 2015 -- Natural Health Trends Corp. (Nasdaq: NHTC), a leading direct selling company that markets premium quality personal care, wellness and “quality of life” products under the NHT Global brand, today announced continued growth for the quarter and six month periods ended June 30, 2015.

Second Quarter Highlights

Total revenues increased 104% to $69.7 million, compared to $34.2 million in the second quarter last year. Net income was $12.3 million, or $0.98 per diluted share, compared to $6.1 million, or $0.49 per diluted share, in the second quarter last year.

Revenue from Hong Kong operations, which represents 93% of total revenue, increased $33.2 million, or 105% over the same period last year

Revenue outside of Hong Kong increased $2.4 million, or 91% over the same period last year; excluding the Commonwealth of Independent States, revenue increased 151% over the same period last year

Operating income increased 99% to $12.3 million, compared to $6.2 million in the second quarter last year.

Total number of active distributors increased 23% to 76,400 at June 30, 2015 compared to March 31, 2015.

The Company’s common stock joined the Russell Global, Russell 3000® and the Russell Microcap® Indices.

Year-to-Date Financial Highlights

Revenues were $110.4 million, up 93%, compared to $57.4 million in the first six months of last year. Net income was $19.0 million, or $1.52 per diluted share, compared to $9.2 million, or $0.76 per diluted share, in the first six months of last year.

Operating income was $19.2 million, up 107% compared to $9.3 million in the first six months of last year.

Balance Sheet

At June 30, 2015, cash and cash equivalents totaled $74.4 million, compared to $59.9 million as of March 31, 2015 and $44.8 million as of December 31, 2014.

Dividend and Share Repurchase

Today, the Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.04 per share on outstanding common stock payable in cash on August 28, 2015 to stockholders of record on August 18, 2015.

Also today, the Board of Directors approved a stock repurchase plan of up to $15 million of Company’s outstanding shares of common stock with the Company’s on-going earnings or cash on hand through December 2016, including $5 million repurchases intended to be immediately executed. Since November 2014, the Company has repurchased 638,176 shares of common stock at a cost of $10.6 million.

Re: Why the low valuation?

There's a lot of risk in this one: China + MLM = risky. Crazy results rise = is it a fluke? Can it last? Some people even doubt the numbers.

On top of that, now you've got protests in Hong Kong, shorts who murdered the stock once it got above $20, and 33% owner Broady apparently? selling shares on Form 4 released yesterday.

On that topic, does anyone have any insight into why Broady's sale price was listed as $0.00?

My wife worked for this company previously in China. The sales force is for lack of better terminology, setup similar to AMWAY in that each buyer gets a commission for getting additional buyers which creates a MASSIVE sales force. The company IS SHIPPING/SELLING product in China so I have no clue what the discussion about licensing is about. I must be out of the loop on IHUB here...

I held this stock at 0.70/sh last year and got out because I couldn't see how their financials at that time were justifying the share price. Of course it skyrockets after I leave.

Now I see the pullback as a potential opportunity...but here are my two MAJOR concerns:
1) How are current or even 2x the last Qtr financials supporting a $12 share price?
2) Why are they still a pink sheet? Why no attempt to uplist?

This is NOT meant to poo poo the stock...as I missed a golden opportunity and am considering to buy back in at $12. However, cut the IHUB BS and someone explain to me how this stock is trading @ $12/sh based on the most recent Q financials...hell even double them for Q3 and help me understand what could possibly be driving this...

Yes, I think that is what caused it to move back up to the $17 level early, before the attacks began again. The fact that they don't have a license in China has been laid out clearly in their filings, but it appears that the shorts are now going to use that to drag it down. In the last conference call they stated that they plan on using their horde of cash to apply for a license in China, but that may take some time. I plan on getting back in if it gets close to the 50 SMA around $9.50 - $10.00. The stock is likely to be volatile for a while.

It appears that there were several people on twitter that have a ton of followers, started putting out short recommendations yesterday at the same time. The stock got way ahead of itself and when it broke down, it really broke down. Selling begets more selling. If you would have said that it could fall from 22 to 11.75 in a matter of 3 hours without news, I would have said you are crazy...but here we are. I sold around 75% of my position on the way up from 14.97 to 19.97, but still took a nice hit yesterday. I plan on adding some back as soon as the chart stabilizes.

I have been a bit greedy holding for past week especially when valuation depended a lot on speculating about future and definitely wouldn't have gone long at those prices, not very smart. Atleast traders are having fun. I think shorting this has been really stupid earlier if you don't have any knowledge about fraud or anything other material, but I guess for some people chart is the only thing that matters. Let's hope the business performs next quarter, I don't think deferred revenue matters much.

I sold a little today, because we are getting extended on the chart...but this one could go a lot higher, if they can prove another good quarter. I get the feeling that some are expecting a drop off from last quarter due to the deferred revenue decrease. I am not convinced that is the correct assumption to make though.

NHTC $15.10 some big blocks are going through today, which I haven't seen before. Could be that some institutions are starting to get involved.
