Problem child SPCE is moving, so I dipped my toes in that pool and added some July $4.50 calls this am. Up 86% already!!

Another nuclear day! As the NASA conference unfolded, my entire public.com account dropped ~$50k in 45 minute.. then recovered some. It's now some 10k above that high, before NASA snubbed us.

I am far from a pro, so do get in trouble, writing CC or CSP's on volatile stocks like LUNR, RKLB, IREN, and not watching them closely, as they get redder than Sydney Sweeney's blood when she's in heat....

Anyhow, my most recent roll was 3 Sep $40 LUNR that are deep red. (had not been watched closely enough and/or had been rolled once if not twice already)

Anyhow, just now, I rolled them out and up as far as possible, Jan 2028 and $65, and collected $1815 more premium.

The reasons why I don't have a problem with this:

A. My average cost per share of my 4040 shares, is about $8.40

B. I believe in the company and have no plans to sell a single share--unless some get called away.

C. I currently have 20 Jan LEAPs, that are now even in more profit, at about $44k, than my previous best trade, 9 $35 Jan 2026 RKLB calls, which returned over 500% and $41400 profit.

Just now, with LUNR taking off again, I rolled a $45 for tmrw to $50 (already had one) and next Friday. And have a $65 cc exp Jun 18. And there's a $50 that expires tmrw that might stay safe.....

O/T..I did just sell a 2nd RKLB $170CC for Jun 5...I don't want to lose 100 or 200 of my 1300 RKLB shares, but am betting that it won't get to 170 in the next 6 trade days. If it starts moving, I might close one, rather than being worried about needing to roll both CC, next week.

One of the things I like about LUNR is that they have so much going on that is Not related to launch services that even if the Spacex IPO becomes any sort of a disappointment in any way the company will just carry on creating value regardless. Five years from now today's share prices may be laughable.

The exact language: Moon Base III “will fly the first payload selected through NASA’s Payloads and Research Investigations on the Surface of the Moon initiative. Its anchor investigation, Lunar Vertex, will fly on Intuitive Machine’s Nova-C Trinity lunar lander and study lunar swirls.” This is a Nova-C lander mission targeted for launch this year, carrying NASA’s flagship PRISM payload plus ESA and Korean payloads.

Sadly, neither. UFO is up some 5% tonight. Five weeks ago, I bought a $60 long call for 105, sold it for $15.

A bunch of CC/CSP's today expired worthless to the buyer.... The touch and go two were the $140 RKLB CC. It got over 139, then backed off. Phew. I'd sold them at a peak Wed am... the $572 is now all mine.
Sold a 5-29 $40 CC, got a nice $200 gift. Sold a $40 June 18 CSP and got a $445. Might need to roll that... but if its over $40, the shares would set me back only $35.45

The aircraft climbs, the pilot pushes over the top, and for about 20 to 30 seconds, everything inside the cabin floats. Astronauts have trained in those aircraft. Researchers have tested space-bound experiments, hardware, and life sciences protocols in them. NASA has flown microgravity science there for years. There is one problem in 2026: there is no longer a commercial parabolic flight service operating anywhere in North America. The U.S. lost that capability in recent years, and researchers who need it have been forced to look overseas or wait. Today's announcement out of Cape Canaveral lays out how that gap might be closed.Two Companies, One Hangar, and a NASA RFIThe company behind the announcement is Starfighters Space, Inc. (NYSE American: FJET), the operator of what its own filings describe as the world's fastest fleet of commercial supersonic aircraft. From its primary base at the Shuttle Landing Facility at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, the company flies modified F-104 jets at sustained Mach 2+ speeds for defense and aerospace customers including Lockheed Martin, Space Florida, and the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory. [1]Today's news takes a different turn. Under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding, Starfighters will host Mu-G Technologies, LLC and its Dassault Falcon 50, which will be modified to conduct parabolic test flights, at Starfighters' second operating site, the Midland International Air & Space Port in Texas, for flight testing and FAA certification work. The two companies will also jointly respond to a NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center Request for Information for Parabolic Flight Services — a solicitation aimed at companies that can rebuild the country's commercial microgravity capability. The eventual home base for Mu-G's commercial microgravity flights has not yet been determined. [2]The arrangement is more than a real estate deal. Starfighters will provide ground support, chase plane and data collection, expert pilot integration, and safety and regulatory alignment while Mu-G works the Falcon 50 through FAA certification for commercial parabolic missions. The Midland co-location gives the partnership a tangible operational footprint for the testing phase and a credible base from which to jointly pursue the NASA RFI. [2]A Thirty-Year Working RelationshipThis partnership did not start last quarter. Starfighters CEO Tim Franta and Mu-G founder Robert S. Ward have known each other for close to thirty years, a relationship traced through the Space Coast aerospace community in Florida. I remember March of last year. This one event confirmed the adage to " buy the blood." So I did. I got as much of this between $6 and $8 I could hoping for the market to forget its opinion on the 2nd landing. My one year goal was to see $20/share.

How the hell they managed along the way to buy Lanteris is the stuff of legend in my view, but as soon as that became real, LUNR became a far greater force to be reckoned with, like RKLB.
Now an IDIQ with NASA. Just keeps getting better.

Earnings call there (here) is pre-mkt tomorrow. I may have mentioned that I have a 3 sets of 3 CC, at 35, 35, and 40. The first set expires Friday. As you and others advise against rolling up and out more than a short time to remove the deep red when the stock has kept running, I may let that set get called away. (I've already rolled set 2 to June and set 3 to July, like it or not) But I also sold just 1 CSP at $33 yesterday... if the shares go get called, I collected $306... shoulda done more than 1, I reckon...But the other idea was--if the mkt doesn't like the earnings, I'd get 100 shares at effectively $29.94 per...

Still not sure I don't mind rolling up and out as I don't mind being limited on the covered shares... (requires a strong belief that the stock won't crater) One big reason is, even if the stock is way above the strike, I am holding 20 Jan 2027 LEAPs that are now flying--up almost $24000 now!! Deep ITM at +208% and 173%

I have 15 $20 Jan 2027 LEAPs and 5 $27 They were way up... of course, I expect them to sky by 2027.. maybe not as high as my $35 RKLB LEAPs did..55 week hold. Sold 5 two days and 4 one day before the 99.56 blow off top..or I would have made another 7000... as it was, The $49500 pocketed off $8060 spent had me happy in the pants for..well, it still does....

Rocket Lab has much going on, but methinx LUNR, with its much lower mkt cap, has more room to grow! I give IM-3 a 99% chance of a 100% successful mission...

They're CSP's. I rolled them down to $27 5-15. I won't mind if they are assigned. Either way. But I expect we'll be way above $27 by then. I closed some $30 CC a while ago and did well. I do have 3 $35 Jn 18 CC's that may need to be rolled again..hope so 😋

Had a deep deep red IREN $55 CC, so I rolled it way up and out to $110 and Jan 2028. Total premium collected is now over $1750... Heck, my first 100 shares cost $1650

I was up close to $25-28k today across all my holdings. A good day! Hydrograph reversed a bit. I want more but haven't gone for it yet. Still think it could well be the stock of the century.

Oh, I totally understand every bit of your post. I have CCs for LUNR up through the end of Summer. I think between IM-3 and probable Spacex IPO that Lunr is going to soar .

Summer is usually slow but I don't think in this case that it'll matter much ....unless trump orders another bombing party somewhere .

I make mistakes, but am doing well.

As I had RKLB and LUNR ITM CC's that were deep red, I welcomed yesterday's drop and was able to close several, and only give back part of the premium.

But, because of the red options, a few days ago, I sold two $89 RKLB CSPs that expired today.. figuring I wouldn't mind gaining 200 shares. Well, I forgot to roll them down and out, so they wll be assigned. I got $750 premium, so will only be out about $1200 on the mistake. (Over and above what buying 200 sh at the ~ horribly crappy 79.60 close would have cost). Then, sometime a week ago, I made another mistake in buying 2 $80 RKLB long calls when I wanted CC. It went up that day, so a/h, I placed a limit sell for 1 of the 2. Stock popped a/h, so I tried to change the order exactly at mkt open. No luck. It sold, $90 profit. Closed the other one for some $1065 profit a few days later. So, two fckups, but overall, I'm close to even on those three trades.

The two $80 CC: (I sold 2 of those later, which, as rklb was running well above 80, I rolled out and up to 105. They expire July 18-so if the stock is not at 105 on expiration, I'll live to see another day, lol--if its at or above 105, I lose the shares and I'm back to my original 1118... no harm, no foul.)

Separately, I sold 5 June $19 LUNR calls and made close to 150% or about $4000. And have 15 $20 and 5 $27 LEAPs for next Jan that were up about 120% before we dropped. If we have a good summer and fall, and IM-3 is a roaring success as you and I fully expect, I could well make gobs o' cash from those LEAPs

Would you say that in general you do well on options? You sound more aggressive in that area than I am.
There are so many strategies to consider. I have a few calls on Lunr and a couple of others. If the market performs as it has in the past few months, Lunr is going to do quite well. I do have a couple of long calls that should look awfully attractive assuming IM- 3 gets it done ....which, I believe will happen.

To answer yer dm, I be fine. Save for a bunch of formerly deep ITM, aka red covered calls and/or CSP's here and in Rocketlab and Iris Energy. That last one is still a problem as IRIS is still way up . The drop here and with Rocketlab allowed me to close a bunch and only give back some premium.

But I forgot to roll a deep red rklb $89 CSP, which means I'll be buying 200 shares at 89.... but I received $375 premium per CSP... and I made gobs on two $80 long calls which I closed a lot higher. So, a mistake, but now I might end up with 1318 RKLB shares as I have 2 $140 long dated CC's, I won't mind getting paid $28000 for the 200 called shares, if it happens. (Plus, I'd keep the premium. Not a problem when the average cost of the shares was $1906/100!!!!!

Now, we just need the other co's that we're both in to get crackin'

Glad you brought up the tallness of the lander.

These guys are not thick. They are engineers and they completely have a handle on how to place the craft's centre of gravity. Any issues with landing had nothing to do with center if gravity.
Even if LUNR never lands anything on the moon again, the other assets they bring to space infrastructure now are incredibly valuable and they understand not only how to capitalize on this, but how to dovetail what they gave with other projects just getting under way now .

Just having purchased Maxar alone puts LUNR at the very cutting edge of space manufacture and propulsion . Regardless, they will be a huge presence as the Cis- Lunar space begins to evolve.
I get chills every time I think about where all of this is headed.

The company has a lot going on... AND, imo, IM-3 will land upright. The chosen landing site is not as rough, not even close.

That said, I and others aren't thrilled with the tall shape of the lander. Yes, most of its weight is lower down, but.....

As I recall, it was about a year ago when IM-2 landed, sideways, but functional. I remember reading many posts about how this company was done, toast. I was buying discarded shares at about $6.50.
This company has skills and sheer guts and the world was just disgusted. Despite not yet setting down on the moon again the share price has done well since tariffs and a couple of conquests by the incapable .

Any guesses on what may happen in the next 12 months with this gem?

Yeah... Kinda hope the price takes a breather till my 10 4-17 covered calls expire. If not above $24 or 25, I won't get 1000 shares called. Don't want to lose the shares, so, if it drops a bit more, I might close the CC's... if I only have to give back about what I received in premiums, no worries.
Meanwhile, if it stays near 23-24, I might sell some higher strike calls. Or sell some cash secured puts if it does drop more... (premiums are likely poor right now...)

Still watching HGRAF. If it weakens further, with no bad news, I'd buy more. Would be happy with 2x my current 5.5k shares

I still like the long-term story here because the company just posted strong 2026 guidance, backlog is building again, and recent acquisitions made the business look much larger in scale. Near-term volatility is still there, but the contract pipeline looks hard to ignore.

Who here remembers how badly this stock tanked after the 2nd moon landing?
About $24/ share the month before about $7.50/ share the week after. People were saying this company was done. They should close up shop, have a nice little garage sale and then go to Wendy's .

The third landing is still half a year off and shares have recently been just under $20. After that second landing I went in big at $6.85/ share. My point here is not to brag. Who cares what I did?
What matters is that the prevailing tone of the share buying world was pretty damned wrong at the time.
