Item 8.01. Other Events.

On December 8, 2023, Esports Entertainment Group, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that its Board of Directors temporarily suspended the Company’s monthly cash dividend on its 10% Series A Cumulative Redeemable Convertible Preferred Stock (“Series A Preferred Stock”), commencing with the December 2023 dividend.

The Company has paid the monthly dividend for November 2023 as previously announced on November 3, 2023. In accordance with the terms of the Series A Preferred Stock, unpaid dividends will continue to be accrued.
