BAOS: Excellent POINT!!!! A parasite?? NO, they have NOT checked for that. However, your comment about such reminds me of a GREAT (Diagnostician) DOCTOR who used to contribute an article every week to NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE --- which I used to subscribe to over 20-yrs. ago. In ONE of his great (Diagnostic) articles, he described a MONSTER-PUZZLING case that finally ended-up (via many desperate referrals) to HIM because no oither Doc's nor local hospitals (NY City) could figured-it-out. (I believe the subject DOCTOR was "Tony Dajer, M.D.", of a hosp. in NY City, but my "GOOGLING" of that name did NOT generate a conclusive relationship to NEWSWEEK mag.)

To continue then, the (troubled) patient in question was a very recent YALE grad, who --- vis-a-vis a Yale tradtiton for MALE grads (in his particular major) --- had taken a (post-grad) trip to the NILE RIVER, with several of his grad buddies!!! Via said (decades-long) YALE ritual, they all commenced to JUMP-INTO said (still filthy) Egyptian river --- similar to a CHRISTIAN BAPTISM or 'cleansing' of the soul --- with much merriment & gleeful laughter (WRONG!!). Bottom line, ONE of them --- via his penis urethra --- contracted a hideous PARASITE, which then metamorphized into a 1"-diam., slug-like, ADULT creature; which was lodged deep in the musculature of the poor chap's right LEG!!! Long-story-short, the good Doc finally FOUND that thing & removed it; plus administered to the Yale chap a complex elixir designed to KILL any other residual eggs, larva, etc., which that creature may have left behind. And the MORALE of the story??? In all Tropical, 3-rd World nations around the World, the naked FEET & PENIS URETHRA are the singularly most FREQUENT source of PARASITIC infections of MEN (& even worse, with Ladies!!).

So, with all of that said, at my NEXT meeting with my Doc's --- assuming that my Gastro. problems do not subside significantly, shortly --- I am already prepared to ASK them if they have yet checked by BLOOD for any parasites, viruses, or even 'Long-Covid' stuff, since I did get that Covid about 3-yrs. past (but very mild symptoms for 4-wks.).

Thank my friend. You know I have a friend who had some trouble with his GI track. They found out that he had a parasite living in his stomach. Did the Doc check you for that?

BAOS: CONGRATS on this one, for ya!!! (And yep, that Intestinal stuff is still messin' with me; not to ruin your lunch!); BUT, the Hosp. Doc's, et al., have now told me to (temporarily) eliminate the CREATINE POWER stuff from my daily dietary routine --- which I, myself, was already on the CUSP of doing, anyway.

Lastly --- as YOU surely already understand --- in order for someone with such COMPLEX (e.g., myriad-variables) health problems to DETERMINE the ultimate SOURCE of the issues, the 'patient' would have to conduct an (Impssible), 'DOUBLE-BLIND-PLACEBO-CONTROLLED-RANDOMIZED-LARGE-POPULATION-INVESTIGATION-RESEARCH-DIETARY-AND-METABOLIC-DISEASE-STUDY', upon one's own frickin' SELF!!!!!!! HOWEVER, the only way such could be done, would be for the Doc's to (genetically) CLONE about 10-each, identical, full-grown-adult, duplicates of ME!!!! And then, systematically-eliminate or -add the various COMPONENTS of the dietary stuff I've been consuming --- or NOT consuming --- in order to discover which one, or combinations thereof, have in fact resulted in my Gastro. problems!!!! (HA-HA-HAAAAAAA!!!!)
