                            Resignation of Director

LONDON: 28 September 2004  - Trans-Siberian Gold plc ("TSG"), (TSG.L) the UK
company developing gold mining projects in Russia, reports that Mr Alexander
Ivanov, a non-executive director, has resigned from the Board of the Company
with immediate effect.

Mr Ivanov was previously a senior diplomat in the Russian Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. He joined the Board of TSG in January 2002 and has resigned for
personal reasons.

Mr Jeremy Marshall, Chairman, said, today: "We are sorry that Mr Ivanov has
decided to resign from the Board. He made a very valuable contribution to our
deliberations over the last two and a half years, especially in providing
incisive insight of the Russian view. He will be greatly missed and we wish him
well for the future."
