Tempus Group announces that by a fax dated 14 August 2001 received from Credit
Suisse First Boston Equities Limited pursuant to S198 Companies Act 1985, it
was informed of the following information:


"This is to confirm that as at close of business 13 August 2001, Credit Suisse
First Boston Equities Limited, in its normal course of business, held a
beneficial interest of 2,095,804 ordinary shares of Tempus Group PLC. This
represents 2.791% of the total shares in issue of this class."
