St. James's Place ("SJP"): non-executive Board change. 
 
SJP today announces the appointment of Steve Colsell as non-executive  Director 
to the Board with immediate effect.  Steve is Finance and Strategy Director of 
the Wealth and International Division of Lloyds Banking Group and has been 
appointed to the Board as a representative of the Lloyds Banking Group pursuant 
to the Relationship Agreement between SJP and HBOS plc, now part of the Lloyds 
Banking Group. 
 
Steve Colsell's appointment follows Andy Hornby's previously announced 
resignation on 16 January 2009. 
 
Steve, 44, is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.  He joined HBOS in 2006 as 
Finance  Director, Insurance & Investment.  Prior to joining HBOS, he held a 
number  of senior finance and strategy roles in the life, general insurance and 
consumer finance sectors.  He is a graduate of Imperial College, London. 
 
There are no circumstances to be disclosed in accordance with Listing Rule 
9.6.13R for Steve Colsell.
