                                 Trading Update


Levels of order intake have remained high and trading continues to be in line
with the Group's expectations at the time of the interim results in August 2006.
  As indicated, the Board expects the first and second half result to be more
evenly balanced than in the recent past, mainly due to the less favourable
foreign exchange environment.  Cash generation at the full year is expected to
be strong, notwithstanding the second additional dividend of #5 million, payable
in December.



Our markets continue to be buoyant which is benefiting all of our businesses.
This, together with the current strong order book gives the Board confidence in
the Group's prospects.
