 Cisco Systems to power ITG through the 250,000 subscriber mark
                                
  Cost reduction and market opportunities characterise landmark
                              deal

Internet  Technology Group plc ("ITG"), through its subsidiaries,
Global  Internet  and  GX  Networks, is the  UK's  third  largest
Internet  Service Provider ("ISP").  Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:
CSCO)  is  the world-wide leader in networking for the  Internet.
Capitalised at US$50 billion, Cisco Systems is the third  largest
company on NASDAQ and is ranked 25th on the Forbes top 500.

ITG  today announced that Global Internet has signed an agreement
to  use  Cisco's  new technology as the basis for  its  technical
infrastructure.  The main component of the contract is  an  order
for  12,000 modem ports, which could provide connections for over
250,000 subscribers.

ITG's  order  for  the new technology represents Cisco's  largest
ever  single dial access platform deal in the UK and  it  is  the
largest order in the world based on the company's new Access Path
TS3  technology.  The scale of the deal will deliver  significant
cost  reductions to ITG over the next 24 months.   The  agreement
will  also give ITG access to the benefits of being part  of  the
Cisco Powered Network programme, an initiative to promote partner
companies, such as ITG, to FT1000 companies.

Paul  Mountford,  UK Managing Director of Cisco Systems  Limited,
said today:

Internet  and  GX  Networks subsidiaries seem  poised  to  win  a
significant market share."

ITG's Chief Executive, Laurence Blackall, commented:
