                 Further re: Acquisition of SportBusiness Group


Further to the announcement dated 3 January 2006, Electric Word plc announces
that 18,750,000 new Ordinary Shares of 1p each ("New Ordinary Shares") have been
issued and allotted in initial consideration of the acquisition of SportBusiness
Group Ltd.

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the New Ordinary
Shares, which will rank pari passu with the existing shares in issue, to be
admitted to trading on AIM, and admission is expected to become effective on 9
January 2006.
