Appointment Release - Tony Larkin

                   D1 Oils Hires Sales and Marketing Manager

D1 Oils plc (D1), the UK-based global producer of biodiesel, has hired a senior
sales manager to head its UK and European sales and marketing of biodiesel. Tony
Larkin, aged 41, was senior sales development manager with BP European fleet
services. Larkin's appointment will boost D1's ability to build its presence in
the UK and European biodiesel markets.

Larkin has over ten years of experience in the UK commercial fuel and lubricants
markets. At BP European fleet services he managed a UK team of account
development managers in the haulage and bus & coach sectors, including
lubricants, fuel cards and fleet performance management. Having spent eight
years as a sales and quality assurance manager in the steel industry, Larkin
began his fuels career as a sales representative at Brett Fuels. He then moved
to Castrol UK Limited as agricultural area manager for the North of England,
progressing to commercial area manager and commercial regional sales manager.
His sector experience includes haulage, commercial franchised dealers, bus &
coach, quarrying, plant, forestry and agricultural sectors. Following the
purchase of Castrol by BP, Larkin remained as regional sales manager until his
move to Bp European fleet services.

Commenting on his appointment, Tony Larkin said: "I'm very much looking forward
to helping D1 establish its presence as a leader in the UK and European
biodiesel markets. We are now seeing many large volume diesel users
investigating the potential benefits of switching to biodiesel and we have the
opportunity to create a market that will help reduce emissions from the
transport sector. "

Welcoming Larkin to the company, Peter Campbell, Executive Director at D1 Oils
plc said: "Tony Larkin's appointment will enable D1 to grow our sales as we grow
UK production capacity. We have an aggressive expansion plan over the next few
months which will see D1 emerge as one of the largest biodiesel sellers in the
UK. Tony has the market experience to work with our customers as we grow our
sales and build our brand in the UK and Europe."
