                          Notification of Shareholding

Arana Therapeutics Limited, (AIM: AAHx ASX: AAH) (the "Company"), the Australian
biopharmaceutical company that uses superior technology to develop next
generation drugs that will improve the lives of patients with inflammatory
diseases and cancer advises that on 22 April 2008 Sun Hung Kai Investment
Services Limited advised the Australian Securities Exchange (www.asx.com.au)
(ASX) that it and its associates (as defined under the Corporations Act 2001
(Australia)) held a total of 11,854,898 ordinary shares in the Company (5.04% of
the issued share capital of the Company) as at 7 April 2008, compared with
10,755,431 ordinary shares of the Company (4.58 % of the issued share capital of
the Company) as at 28 August 2007. A copy of the notice filed by Sun Hung Kai
Investment Services Limited on 22 April 2008 is attached.
