Optivo previously announced on 17 September 2020 that it had raised GBP150 million of long-term funding on an 18 month deferred settlement basis to refinance its Bank of England Covid Corporate Financing Facility utilisation.

Optivo arranged the funding via a GBP150 million (notional amount) tap of its existing 5.25% 2043 bonds (the Tap Issue), of which it then agreed a forward sale of GBP100 million (notional amount) at a price of 150.7 per cent for settlement in March 2022, so raising GBP150 million proceeds. Optivo retained GBP50 million (notional amount) of the increased bond for potential sale to be agreed at a future date.
