Media Invitation - Commissioning of Des Irlandais substation and next step towards the creation of a memorial site

MONTRÉAL, Oct. 9, 2024 /CNW/ - Media representatives are invited to a ceremony marking the commissioning of Hydro-Québec's Des Irlandais substation and the transfer of part of the land south of the substation to the Montreal Irish Monument Park Foundation. This ceremony will take place as of 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

Claudine Bouchard, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating and Infrastructure Officer at Hydro-Québec, Benoit Dorais, Mayor of the Sud-Ouest borough and Vice-Chair of the Executive Committee at Ville de Montréal, and Fergus Keyes, Director of the Montreal Irish Monument Park Foundation, will give speeches and answer questions from the media.
