This partnership builds on Blue Buffalo’s relationship with BFAS, which includes serving as the founding partner of the Northwest Arkansas Best Friends Pet Resource Center in 2021, in addition to many years of Blue Buffalo employees volunteering across various BFAS locations.

“Blue Buffalo was founded on the belief that pets are family—we love them like family, so we feed them like family,” said Liz Mascolo, President, North America Blue Buffalo. “We are honored to play a role in the lifesaving work of Best Friends Animal Society by nourishing dogs and cats with BLUE’s superior nutrition in their moment of need, so they’re healthy and thriving when they go to forever homes.”

Blue Buffalo’s national commitment to BFAS includes an annual donation of more than 500,000 pounds of BLUE food and treats to feed all animals at Best Friends Animal Society’s six Lifesaving Centers.

“At Best Friends, we believe that pets belong in loving homes where they are cared for and fed like family, not in shelters," said Julie Castle, CEO, Best Friends Animal Society. "We are committed to saving the lives of the more than 4.7 million pets that enter shelters each year in the U.S. and we are thrilled and deeply grateful to partner with Blue Buffalo to provide essential nutrition to the cats and dogs in our care."

About Blue Buffalo

Blue Buffalo, the country’s most loved and trusted natural pet food, started with a promise made to a lovable Airedale named Blue who struggled with cancer, the #1 disease-related killer of dogs and cats. His family, the Bishops, wanted to feed him the best food possible, so they searched for food with high-quality ingredients, but decided to create something even better – natural pet food for dogs and cats with nutritious ingredients, real meat first, and some of the highest standards in the industry. Since Day 1, BLUE’s team of veterinarians and animal nutritionists have carefully selected high-quality, natural ingredients and upheld its True BLUE Promise to dog and cat pet parents – real meat as the first ingredient with NO chicken (or poultry) by-product meals, NO corn, wheat or soy, and NO artificial flavors or preservatives. The result is a portfolio of high-quality, natural food and treats that both dogs and cats love. This simple idea: “Love them like family. Feed them like family.” lives on today in every Blue Buffalo recipe. Visit BlueBuffalo.com to learn more.
