17th annual Jeep event celebrates summer, the great outdoors and giving back

Barricade, an industry leader in off-road Jeep Wrangler products, is proud to announce that this year’s Barricade Go Topless Day was celebrated in all fifty states and 6 countries, bringing together Jeepers to celebrate summer and raise money for a number of local charities. 460-plus events were held worldwide with more than 66,000 Jeeps and participants celebrating summer by taking their Jeep tops off while also raising money to support local charities. To date more than $687,000 has been raised for nonprofits across the country and world.

Barricade Go Topless Day grew from a small meetup of Jeepers at a local farm stand in 2008 to today being celebrated worldwide on May 18th by thousands of Jeep enthusiasts. Activities range from picnics, trail runs, giveaways, convoys, trail and beach clean-ups, parades, and other social events, all in the name of fun and giving back.

Barricade encourages each club holding a Go Topless Day event to support a registered 501(c)(3) organization of their choice. To expand the impact of generous Jeepers across the nation, Barricade donates $500 to any host that raises a minimum of $500 for their local charity.

“From where Go Topless Day started to where it is today is absolutely astounding,” said Steven Voudouris, Barricade/Turn 5, Inc. founder, president and CEO. “It's incredible to witness the passion and dedication of our Jeep communities coming together to support great causes. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact and create lasting memories with fellow enthusiasts. Together, we are not just driving Jeeps, we are driving change and spreading joy to those in need.”

Turn5 Inc. has legal trademarks on the words, “Go Topless Day” and its brand name “Barricade.” For more information on the event, visit extremeterrain.com/go-topless-day-main.html.
