Call-Net Enterprises appoints Chief Marketing Officer TORONTO,
March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Call-Net Enterprises Inc., (TSX:
FON, FON.NV.B), a national provider of residential and business
telecommunications services, today announced the appointment of
Dave Masotti as executive vice president and chief marketing
officer effective March 10, 2005. "Dave will play a key role in
continuing our focus on being a profitable and growing
communications company," said Bill Linton, president and chief
executive officer, Call-Net Enterprises. "He brings to Call-Net a
depth of knowledge and experience in the areas of product
development, strategy, marketing and business development, all of
which are critical to the Company's success", added Bill Linton.
Mr. Masotti joins Call-Net from DFM Consulting where he was the
principal. Prior to that, he was president and chief executive
officer, Skulogix Inc., as well as president of Spar Space Systems.
Mr. Masotti has extensive marketing and general management
experience working with Rogers Cablesystems, Spar Aerospace, and
Northern Telecom. More recently, Mr. Masotti has worked with Sprint
Canada to develop the Company's entry into the wireless business
and on the Company's new DSL product. Mr. Masotti will report to
Bill Linton, and be responsible for the strategy and marketing
group which includes the product management, product marketing and
business planning functions across all business divisions. He holds
a professional engineer degree from Queen's University, with a
bachelor of science in electrical engineering and has a master's
degree in business administration from Harvard University. About
