Save The World Air Offers an Affordable Solution to Mexico's Air
Pollution Problem LOS ANGELES, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Save The World Air, Inc., (Pink Sheets: ZERO) recently completed
emissions and fuel economy tests according to U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) standards. Independent tests were conducted
at Automotive Testing and Development Services, Inc. (ATDS), an EPA
approved laboratory by installing a CAT-MATE (TM) device within the
original engine manufacturer (OEM) exhaust system of a 1995 Mexican
fuel injected Volkswagen Beetle taxi. When the company's CAT-MATE
device was installed on the VW, tests showed reductions of Carbon
Monoxide (CO), Hydrocarbons (THC) and Nitric Oxide (NOX) emissions
were between 48% and 87%, clearly out performing the in-place
original OEM exhaust system. SWA's Chief Executive Officer, Edward
L. Masry, stated, "According to the World Health Organization,
Mexico City has the world's worst air pollution. Mexico is a major
market with more than 18 million vehicles. Mexico City alone has
over 8 million cars, of which over 2 million are public
transportation and at least an average age of 8 years. A key part
of our international marketing program is to provide this
opportunity for Mexico to find cheaper and more efficient means to
reduce harmful emissions. The company's CAT-MATE device, at a cost
that is 67% less than the price of a replacement OEM catalytic
converter, is an attractive technology in markets outside the U.S.
where air quality is a concern". Masry also stated, " U.S. air
quality is often impacted by Mexican air quality. There may be U.S.
demand for installing SWA devices in Mexican border cities. Markets
in Tijuana and Juarez are being investigated and these findings
will be submitted to Mexican decision makers. Air district
officials serving San Diego, California and El Paso, Texas will be
pursued. Save The World Air, Inc. was created to develop devices
using proprietary technologies that can be installed in motor
vehicles to reduce harmful emissions, improve fuel efficiency
and/or improve performance. The statements contained herein, which
are not historical, are forward-looking statements that are subject
to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to
differ materially from those expressed in the forward-looking
statements, including, but not limited to, SWA's ability to market
its technologies and devices and future customer acceptance for
these products and services and other risks set forth in SWA's
filings and future filings with the Securities and Exchange
Commission, including those set forth in SWA's Annual Report on
Form 10-KSB for the year ended December 31, 2003. For further
