NEW YORK, September 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
SPO Global Inc (SPOM), a leading developer of biosensor and
microprocessor technologies for use in portable monitoring devices,
announced today that it has a strong order backlog position of
approximately $700,000. Shipments of
this backlog have commenced and are expected to be completed during
the Q3 and Q4 periods of 2014. The Company is currently preparing
for wider distribution of its wellness products during fiscal
2015.
This order backlog position is primarily attributable to firm
orders received for delivery to large North American mass-market
retailers for its consumer wellness product line. This line
includes a consumer pulse oximeter sold under private label and a
wellness time-piece sold under the "Live Well by SHARP" brand name.
Primary customers for the wellness watch include those who
are looking to improve their daily activity levels, as well as the
100 million adults and children today in the US who are considered
to be overweight or obese.
The Company is also in final stages of developing a unique,
non-invasive baby wellness monitor for parental reassurance,
particularly when babies are sleeping. This new innovative baby
monitor will provide a pro-active, real-time baby wellness
monitoring application for use in most family homes. With
over 8 million births annually in the USA and Western
Europe, the Company views this product opportunity with
great interest since the majority of currently available commercial
homecare baby monitors do not give parents or caregivers wellness
information particularly while babies are sleeping. Subject to
securing adequate resource, the Company plans to launch its baby
wellness monitor during 2015 through strategic partnership
arrangements in the baby monitoring market.
Final revenue figures and actual year end results will be
published with the Company's 2014 year end audited financial
statements.
