LoyaltyPoint, Inc. - Parent of Schoolpop, Inc. - Announces Entry
Into School Supply Market Via Acquisition of One Stop School Shop,
Inc. Assets Schoolpop Adds Innovative Direct-To-Parent School
Supplies Program To Year- Round School Support Lineup ATLANTA, June
7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LoyaltyPoint, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board:
LYLP, LYLPE), owner of Schoolpop, Inc. (http://www.schoolpop.com/),
a leading provider of year-round school support using a suite of
hassle-free nontraditional fundraising programs for schools and
other nonprofits, today announced its acquisition of the assets of
One Stop School Shop, Inc. ("1 Stop"). Florida-based 1 Stop, which
revolutionized the student school supplies industry with its
simple, web-based offering for teachers and parents, is
transitioning its school and supplier relationships to Schoolpop,
which will market the program as "Supply & Earn." Specific
terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but the acquisition
involved cash, stock, and performance-based incentives. "Supply
& Earn" is simple and provides competitive benefits: * Teachers
send a custom (grade or classroom-specific) supply list to
Schoolpop (via web, mail or fax) * Parents use a simple web-based
ordering interface to identify their school and particular
teacher's supply list * With a click of a button, parents can
purchase all their child's required supplies and uniforms and have
them delivered to their door * Orders are shipped within 48 hours
and arrive anywhere in the US within seven days * The school
receives 10% of each purchase as a nontraditional fundraising
contribution * Supplies are competitively-priced, insuring value as
well as convenience * Parents also can purchase backpacks and
uniforms "We've been evaluating the attractive $2.3B school supply
market for several months, and were impressed with 1 Stop's
competitive advantages-its scalable infrastructure, active,
committed school base, and supplier relationships," said Paul
Robinson, chairman and CEO of LoyaltyPoint. "With Supply &
Earn, Schoolpop removes the back-to-school headache parents face
gathering specific supply lists from multiple stores, plus we
contribute a percentage back to the school with every purchase to
support needy students, teacher supplies or other education needs.
It's a win for parents and a win for schools." "1 Stop spent the
last four years building and perfecting an affordable turnkey
student supply offering for schools," said Kevin Sidman, a former
UPS logistics manager who co-founded 1 Stop in 2000 with his wife,
Glenda, a veteran high school teacher of 25 years. "We weren't
looking for an acquisition, but we saw the natural fit for our
program and Schoolpop's thousands of school customers." 1 Stop will
retain fulfillment operations in West Palm Beach, FL, and sales and
marketing will be integrated into Schoolpop's Atlanta headquarters.
The Sidman's will remain involved, with Kevin overseeing
operations. About Schoolpop Inc. Schoolpop is America's leading
