I see that. Looks like they have many more years to go before a commercial offering (if ever).

They haven't announced when they will divulge any data for he amount of hydrogen produced per sq m. Hopefully the 25 sqm next phase will provide that.

Their "competition" (Fusion Fuel) has switched to being a service only company now BTW showing the interest in this type of solution isn’t there yet. Maybe the delays they have suffered will work out for them.

CORALVILLE, IA – December 18, 2024 – SunHydrogen, Inc. (OTCQB: HYSR), the developer of a breakthrough technology to produce renewable hydrogen using sunlight and water, today announced it has completed a demonstration of its green hydrogen technology at the commercially-relevant 1m² scale.

Over the past year, SunHydrogen has rapidly pursued a new methodology that integrates solar cells from CTF Solar GmbH into the Company’s core technology for green hydrogen production, enabling faster market entry. SunHydrogen’s innovative design utilizes economical, easily manufacturable PV materials to produce clean hydrogen and oxygen from just sunlight and water.

In October 2024, SunHydrogen shared that its 100cm² hydrogen modules – manufactured in collaboration with CTF Solar – demonstrated 10.8% solar-to-hydrogen efficiency at the Honda R&D facility in Japan. Since then, the Company has been working steadily toward a 1m² proof of concept demonstration. On December 11, 2024, the team successfully demonstrated hydrogen production in subfreezing temperatures outside the SunHydrogen laboratory in Coralville, IA.



“With this 1m² demonstration under our belt, we can begin the site selection process for larger pilot demonstrations,” said SunHydrogen’s Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Syed Mubeen. “Our next steps include continuously improving the technology, incorporating even more cost-effective materials without sacrificing efficiency, and scaling it to 25m² and larger.”

Also this year, SunHydrogen secured joint development agreements with Honda R&D Co. and CTF Solar GmbH, joined the Texas Hydrogen Alliance to continue making inroads into the hydrogen economy, and welcomed new board member David Raney, who is leveraging his transportation and energy regulation expertise to help advance the Company’s mission.

On October 14, 2024, the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of SunHydrogen, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed David W. Raney as director, effective immediately. Mr. Raney will serve as a member of the Board until his successor is elected and qualified or until his earlier death, resignation or removal.

Mr. Raney, age 70, most recently founded and served as chief executive officer of the Texas Hydrogen Alliance (“Alliance”), a non-profit trade organization that brings together policymakers, regulators, industry leaders and innovators to advocate for policies that advance the hydrogen economy, from 2022 to 2023. He currently serves as Executive Director Emeritus of Alliance. Prior to that, Mr. Raney served as a corporate executive for Toyota Motor North America from 2014 to 2021. Mr. Raney holds over 40 years of experience in the transportation industry, where he routinely served as a technical liaison between corporate R&D and executive teams and environmental and safety federal and state government regulators. Namely, he has held leadership roles at prominent automotive companies such as Deere & Company, Saab-Scania of America, General Motors, American Honda Motor Company and Toyota Motor North America.

The Board has concluded that Mr. Raney is qualified to serve on the Board because of his robust knowledge of alternative fuel regulation and emerging alternative fuel technologies, including battery and fuel cell electric vehicles and renewable hydrogen. Mr. Raney’s expertise is directly transferable to the Company’s business plan and scale-up efforts for its green hydrogen technology.

Mr. Raney will be eligible to receive compensation for his service as a director that is approved by the Board from time to time and will receive an initial grant of stock options to purchase ten million shares of the Company’s common stock (the “Stock Options”). The Stock Options will be subject to the terms and conditions of the Company’s 2022 Equity Incentive Plan and a stock option agreement.

There are no arrangements or understandings between Mr. Raney and any other persons pursuant to which Mr. Raney was appointed director of the Company, and there are no family relationships between Mr. Raney and any director or executive officer of the Company.

Mr. Raney has no direct or indirect material interest in any transaction required to be disclosed pursuant to Item 404(a) of Regulation S-K promulgated under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, nor are any such transactions currently proposed.

I have a question for anyone who might know, splitting h2o and hydro. what are they doing with the Oxygen that is also a byproduct of the process, or not.

Were trading close to 03 and I see no reason why we can't hit or surpass that this week even without any new updates. Now, if Honda gives us a bullish update and put the news out on the Honda ticker,I think we will explode past the all-time high of $0.38 back in the spring of 2020. To me HYSR is worth the gamble.
