Dow Jones News
0913 GMT - Heineken is among the most mentioned companies across
news items over the past three hours, according to Factiva data,
after the brewer sold its Russia business for 1 euro ($1.08) after
nearly 18 months. In March 2022 Heineken said it would depart
Russia, shortly after the country invaded Ukraine and in April of
this year it submitted an application to the Russian authorities to
transfer the business. The business--which includes seven breweries
and 1,800 employees--has been sold to Russian packaging and
cosmetics company Arnest Group. Heineken stopped selling its
Heineken brand in Russia last year. It said its Amstel brand will
be phased out there within six months. Dow Jones & Co. owns
Factiva. (ian.walker@wsj.com.)
