Rich Jenkins, co-founder and head of business development at Getfugu, states, "We are launching the keyword sales for local businesses and growing so quickly that we had to re-assess our business and re-engage Nuance in order to meet this new surge. Our standard ARL/VRL package includes the name of the business (voice recognition) and logo of the business (logo recognition), so Joe's Pizza gets 'Joe's Pizza' for VRL and uses his logo for ARL. In addition, Joe's Pizza can elect to purchase the voice keyword 'pizza.' Keywords are sold by zip code, so Joe's Pizza can purchase 'pizza' in West Hollywood for $99/mo. When a consumer says 'Pizza' into their phone, and is in West Hollywood, Joe's Pizza shows up on a map that directs consumers directly to Joe's Pizza. There are 10 places for each keyword in each zip code. For the consumer, it's a great way to find services right around them. For the small business, Keyword sales are a great way to drive revenue, because consumers that wouldn't be aware of Joe's can capture new business. On the Getfugu side, this is an opportunity to drive more revenue from existing customers."
