CARMEL, Ind., June 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 900
ITT Technical Institute students and
graduates recently submitted letters of support commending the
education and services they've received from ITT Tech campuses across the country.
Many are filled with personal experiences from students who
secured employment with the assistance of ITT
Tech's Career Services department, including positions with
some of the largest companies across the U.S.
"The overwhelming support from our students confirms that they
received a quality education and are taking advantage of the
academic and support services our campuses have to offer," said
Kevin M. Modany, CEO of ITT
Educational Services, Inc. "Despite what we read in the news about
career colleges, ITT Tech's
non-traditional students are finding value in their education."
Modany said the letters were requested in an outreach effort to
solicit personal experiences from current students and recent
graduates.
Many have had obstacles like Martha
Santibanez in West Palm Beach,
Fla., who was out of the learning environment for 13 years.
She is now active in campus groups and a nominee for an ambassador
leadership program.
Other testimonials highlight the students that ITT Tech serves. Arron
Pease, who described his last jobs as being on "a downward
path" in low-paying retail and food service, said, "ITT Tech has changed my life in a positive way."
Pease chose to pursue a degree in software development.
Tanya L. Kellus, in Springfield, Ill., said her information
technology degree from ITT Tech helped
her find a job "making more money than when I worked three
part-time jobs."
These letters are just a sampling of the feedback received from
students.
"ITT Tech students can tell their
stories the best," said Modany. "Despite the negatives from
politicians and press, we are helping people better their lives as
they pursue a quality education."
Since 1969, ITT Tech has educated
over 1 million students. Approximately 12,000 employers have hired
ITT Tech graduates in the past two
years.
