Cool but there is still no public acknowledgment or ties to Jericho not to mention this is bound to also be indefinitely wrapped up in legal back and forth.

Vallejo Casino: 'Preview casino' opening in January

The Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians plan to open a temporary gaming casino as early as January 2026 on their tribal land near I-80 and Highway 37 in Vallejo, according to a report by the Daily News.

The casino will be a small "preview casino" housed in modular buildings and operating Class II gaming machines. The Class II machines gingo-like slot machines where jackpots are paid from players pool rather than by the house.

It has taken generations of struggle for us to get to this point, and we are looking forward to building shared prosperity. Judge McFadden ruled today. Complicated ruling but he vacated the temporary recision of March 2025. Read the ruling. IMO this is a great time to buy as much as you can afford, but I doubt many will be selling after the ruling.

I saw that and read it all. That is not a judgement. That is the DOI's response to the judge arguing that he should not grant our motion for summary judgement to the Indians but should just allow the reconsideration to continue. It means nothing. The only thing that means anything is what the judge rules, whenever that might be. Summary judgements are supposed to be a lot quicker that this, but the DC judges can do whatever they want. There is clearly no ruling yet. Just pray that he rules in the Indians favor or this could go on forever.

So judgment is out. What does it mean??

Today CLEV put out an 8K which said they changed their independent registered public accounting firm. This may not seem like much, but they changed it to the one that does the Indian's accounting, so maybe something is coming soon. There had to be a reason for this, but who knows with these guys. We are still waiting on the Judge to make a ruling. I don't know why he is taking so long, but I believe the Indians will prevail. I believe the Indians are very confident, which is why they broke ground on the construction.

It's really the same old objections that have been raised before. I think it is a last ditch effort because the word is that the judge has already decided for the Indians, but that is not fact, just rumor. Let's hope it becomes fact soon.

I don't see how he can rule against gaming on land held in trust, particularly with this new information, which is essentially 3 other tribes not wanting competition and using bribery to obtain their goal. The DOI wrote a 71 page opinion as to why they could have gaming when they granted it in January of this year, so it's hard for me to believe they can say now that they were incompetent then. Even if the Indians lose, which I seriously doubt, they will win easily on appeal. Also , remember that the previous judge who ruled on this matter in favor of the Indians (Senior Judge Amy Berman Jackson) is his superior. It would be tough for him to go against her decision.

After reading the filing, one would think this was a slam dunk. My worry is that McFadden is a Trump appointee and supporter and has ruled for Trump in other cases in which his rulings clearly didn't follow the law and the thrust of the legal argument is that the DOI came in after Biden, took money from lobbyists and stopped the approved casino.
