Canadian Business jet manufacturer Bombardier and General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada have joined forces to deliver a next-generation multi-mission and anti-submarine warfare aircraft for the Government of Canada.

The two companies said in a joint statement on Thursday that the aircraft will combine Bombardier's Global 6500 aircraft, with General Dynamics' fully interoperable mission system technology and sensors.

In particular, the aircraft will use General Dynamics' integrated mission systems which draws from Canada's investment in the newly modernized CP140 Block IV and CH-148 Cyclone aircraft.

The aircraft is expected to meet the requirements set by the Government of Canada for the Canadian Multi-Mission Aircraft program.
