Urban Communications Inc. Announces Appointment of Chief Executive Officer

Urban Communications Inc. (TSX VENTURE:UBN) is pleased to announce the
appointment of Murray J. Klippenstein as Chief Executive Officer, effective
April 21, 2008. As part of a progressive management reorganization, Mr.
Klippenstein has also been appointed CEO of the Company's service provider
subsidiaries, Urban Networks Inc. and Imagen Communications Inc. Leslie E.
Maerov, the Company's current Chief Executive Officer, will resign his position
as Chief Executive Officer but retains the key role of President. Clifford
Bouillet will continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer of Urban
Communications Inc. and its subsidiaries.


Mr. Klippenstein brings with him 30 years experience in executive positions in
Canada and the United States, predominantly in technology and satellite
broadcasting industries. Formerly a Vice-President of Marketing and Sales for
American Express, he was also an original founder of Expressvu in Canada and
served as founding President & CEO of one of the first digital satellite
television networks in the world, AlphaStar Television Network, based in
Stamford CT. As Executive Vice-President & COO of New York based SkyView World
Media, a producer and distributor of international television, radio and
Internet content, he forged a partnership with DirecTV to become the largest MDU
entertainment provider in the United States. He has been featured in 'Leaders'
magazine, and was voted one of the world's 20 most influential satellite
industry executives in 1999. Most recently, he has led the Vancouver Practice of
The Osborne Group, a national management consulting and interim executive firm.


The addition of Mr. Klippenstein's experience and marketing-driven management
approach, in concert with Mr. Maerov's formidable process management skills and
Mr. Bouillet's deep and widely respected industry experience creates a solid
management foundation to execute on the Company's potential. More importantly,
the expansion of this new management team signals the Company's commitment to
the aggressive pursuit of growth.
