Sandspring Shareholders Approve All Matters at Annual and Special Meeting

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jun 5, 2014) - Sandspring Resources Ltd. ("Sandspring" or the "Company") (TSX-VENTURE:SSP), a Canadian-based company focused on expanding and developing its Toroparu gold project in Guyana, South America, reported that all of Management's nominees, being John R. Adams, Richard A. Munson, P. Greg Barnes, Gerald W. Grandey, Brad L. Doores, David Constable, George M. Bee, and Suresh Beharry, were re-elected as directors of the Company at its Annual and Special Meeting today. Each director was elected by a majority of the shareholders. In addition, KPMG Chartered Accountants LLP was reappointed as Sandspring's auditors and, in accordance with the policies of TSX Venture Exchange, the Company's Stock Option Plan was ratified and confirmed by the shareholders.
