Pitchblack Appoints Fred Leigh as President and Chief Executive Officer

Pitchblack Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:PIT) ("Pitchblack" or the "Company") is
pleased to announce Mr. Frederic W.R. Leigh has been appointed President, Chief
Executive Officer and a Director effective April 10, 2010.


Mr. Leigh has been involved in the junior resource sector for more than 30 years
and has had a significant role as founder, director and/or investor in many
public companies. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Valencia
Ventures Inc. and is also the founder and President of Siwash Holdings Ltd.
("Siwash"), a privately held company that for over 18 years has invested in
early stage opportunities in the resource sector. Siwash was an early investor
in successful companies including Wheaton River Minerals, Hathor Exploration and
Blue Pearl Mining.

capability to the management team and we have great confidence in his ability to
lead the Company going forward." 


Mr. Leigh replaces Doug Currie who had been in the role since January 2010 and
has resigned to focus on other business endeavors. The Board expresses its
gratitude to Doug Currie for his contribution over the past year as President
and wishes him success in his future endeavours.
